Heavily featuring that scene in their marketing was one of the best decisions ever. Overall, I think they did everything needed to secure it's success this time around! :clap3:

it was nice to seeing a Ghostface character to match the height of the stunt performer (it was confirmed Bailey was the GF bodega)

The Ghostface attack at the Bodega is one of the scariest GF scenes since the 1st film imo

5 was in theaters for 11 weeks so I think this one will have a similar theatrical run, so yeah i'm almost 99% sure this will surpass the original (173M) at the WW box office. it only needs to gross 17M more, which I think is possible

:ghostface:Hoping this is the case.

Domestic: $99.9M

International: $56.25M

Total: $156.1M

I actually thought this was good :deadbanana: I expected it to be trash like the last one, the Billy Loomis **** is still so corny, but it was still enjoyable!

I do think it's kind of hilarious that fans pit films of the same damn franchise against one another :dies:To be fair Scream is one of, if not, the only horror franchise with numerous acclaimed entries warranting such ongoing debate and discourse :jamming:

I really wish for that but i don't see it. Internationally made 3-4M last week, so probably way less this week. And after the projected 3.5M for this weekend domestically it's gonna be very weak.

It'll pass S3 for sure (161M) and maybe end up doing 165M at the very best.

Why it's not screened in China? It could give it a push. Or not? I'm not familiar with their preferences.

I don't think even S5 was released in China, and this movie is banned in the middle east so that will obviously affect the international BO, so yeah you could be right and it probably won't surpass the OG, but I'm choosing to be optimistic :clown:

if the rumors that they want to start production on 7 by october are true, i'm pretty sure they are aiming for a summer 2024 release

I also think they would want strike while the iron is still hot + there were rumors about a new tv series at paramount+ so i'm assuming they would want to start working on that soon

The MTV series was so underrated

Most horror movies are banned in China. I would be surprised if any were released in cinemas there.

I hope Scream 4 will be remastered one day without that weird filter.

the franchise has reached $900M total gross now, probably inching towards $1B by the end of the exploitation of VI

An amazing 20% drop from last week :clap3:

BO predictions had it doing $3.5M this weekend, but it should easily pull $4M imo

Only 1.26m away from surpassing Scream 1 and becoming the highest grossing of the franchise :clap3:
