Overall, I think they did everything needed to secure it's success this time around! it was nice to seeing a Ghostface character to match the height of the stunt performer (it was confirmed Bailey was the GF bodega)

Hurem Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Domestic: $99.9M International: $56.25M Total: $156.1M
Gesamtkunstwerk Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 I actually thought this was good I expected it to be trash like the last one, the Billy Loomis **** is still so corny, but it was still enjoyable!
ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted April 7, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 7, 2023 I do think it's kind of hilarious that fans pit films of the same damn franchise against one another To be fair Scream is one of, if not, the only horror franchise with numerous acclaimed entries warranting such ongoing debate and discourse

Internationally made 3-4M last week, so probably way less this week. And after the projected 3.5M for this weekend domestically it's gonna be very weak. It'll pass S3 for sure (161M) and maybe end up doing 165M at the very best. Why it's not screened in China? It could give it a push. Or not? I'm not familiar with their preferences.

I don't think even S5 was released in China, and this movie is banned in the middle east so that will obviously affect the international BO, so yeah you could be right and it probably won't surpass the OG, but I'm choosing to be optimistic Edited April 7, 2023 by wantedyoutogrow

Most horror movies are banned in China. I would be surprised if any were released in cinemas there.
