Like her range may not be the biggest but what she has she uses well I agree! I was very impressed by her vocals on this album especially on Falling Forever.

Cheers Posted May 5 Posted May 5 She needs to add her vocals to this unreleased #bop! Would be a European SMASH! And then she can add it to Radical Optimism

I've been a casual listener of Dua since Be The One. That's why I was reading the thread. I don't think I have a favorite song yet among the new ones. Still, I would say it's between Falling Forever (her vocal performance is incredible. I love the unusual production and the epicness of the song) and These Walls (it gives me huge ABBA feels and I loved the melody). Houdini is still my favorite song on the album though. What an infectious track. Edited May 5 by Panda17 1

Thanks for sharing and I hope that Dua continues to keep you vibing as a casual listener! 1

AvadaKedavra Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Listened the album and is a fun album. Dont let the backlash and mockery from the fandoms ruin the experience for you. This is your album of the summer. Go have fun with it hennies. 2024 best summer ever 3
Moonbeam Posted May 5 Posted May 5 As I said before, I don't know that any of the songs here grab you by the throat and announce themselves as singles like so many on Future Nostalgia did, but I think a better chance for success might have been to do a single sequence like: "End of an Era" -> "These Walls" -> "Houdini" with album release "End of an Era" and "These Walls" are so different from what she had released previously and would have put to bed the notion that the album was Future Nostalgia rehash. "Training Season" is up there with my favorites on the album, and I agree it may have been viewed more favorably had it been an album track.
LIPAXAGB Posted May 5 Posted May 5 The album is doing quite well on Apple Music for day 2 so I have a feeling we should be very stable on Spotify tomorrow like potentially 20M day 2 and then SNL should hopefully keep it stable for Sunday too 1

highdefinition Posted May 5 Posted May 5 has it grown on you girlies yet? this is def aoty for me - bop after bop 3 2
tkoivan Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Is it crazy to say that we might be at 20M maybe a little higher on Spotify today by how stable these Apple Music numbers are. SNL hopefully making the numbers rise in the US tomorrow.

Illusion JUST came out and still needs time to climb. It feels like they've also forgotten that Dua is more about longevity and promo than she is for high peaks and silence. Illusion still is that girl I fear I hope we get Illusion and These Walls now for SNL but I'd take Houdini as well 7
Dula Peep Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I'm sorry I know its a fan fave but Whatcha Doing has to be the weakest song on the record. Yes, the production is really nice and groovy but lyrically its incredibly basic and doesn't really have a theme or concept... 1 1
