gaga’s early output is really strong but ariana really has been on a consistent uphill in quality since sweetener

taste, mine would look the same.

 

TF singles and a couple album tracks are good, but people udnerestimate YT so much, it has really strong highlights that still bang to this day.

Ari. She may not have the highs of TF, TFM & BTW but she’s way, way more consistent. Every project since DW has been good. Gaga’s projects on the other hand took a nose dive after BTW. Live every project is worse than the previous one .

1. The Fame has 4 amazing singles, what a great way to start a career and has could-be-singles such as Boys Boys Boys, Starstruck, Disco Heaven and Beautiful Dirty Rich. The album tracks are really strong and there's still singles left on this album. 

 

2. The Fame Monster has everything, it's the strongest album she's ever done commercially apart from Born This Way. Ariana has the four singles and that's it, the rest is forgettable. 

 

3. Born This Way - Gaga's peak, she hasn't done an album better than this. Every song is fantastic apart from Hair's third verse, which is cringe, and Highway Unicorn which feels incomplete, as if it's missing an explosive final chorus. I love Dangerous Woman, Into You and Side To Side.

 

4. ARTPOP was poorly executed, but even its worst songs are better than Sweetener whose best songs are No Tears, God Is A Woman and Breathin'. Ari always has strong singles, but her album tracks suck. Gaga writes or co-writes every song so many of her album tracks are highlights.

 

Aura, Venus, G.U.Y, Sex Dreams, Jewels & Drugs, DWYW, Artpop, Fashion, MJH, Dope, Gypsy and Applause (12/15) are all great songs. The lyrics are a hit-or-miss but I give her credit for creating a musically-diverse album. Her first dip.

 

As for Sweetener, I absolutely love the singles: No Tears Left To Cry, God Is A Woman and Breathin' which are better than the singles on ARTPOP, Gaga narrowly saves herself with the rest of the album bar a few bad songs.

 

5. Joanne - The first seven songs are fun and interesting-sounding: Diamond Heart, A-Yo, Joanne, John Wayne, Dancin' In Circles, Perfect Illusion and A Million Reasons. The last four songs are a complete let down: Sinner's Prayer (forgettable), with Come To Mama, Hey Girl and Angel Down sounding mismatched, like they do not fit the cohesive sound of the album's first 8 tracks. Ariana has 2 huge singles and she is consistent with her singles yet again.

 

6. Positions, for me, is better with two strong highlights in Positions and 34 + 35 and strong album tracks.

 

A Star Is Born shouldn't be counted in this poll as it is not a solo album and is a separate project. It will be more interesting and fair to do this poll when Gaga's next album comes out this / next year. The highlights are Shallow, Always Remember Us This Way, Is That Alright? and I'll Never Love Again.

 

7. Chromatica - The album has a decent lead single, a bit weak, but is overshadowed by the album's highlight, summer smash, Rain On Me and it's amazing music video and also has a decent third single in 911, which is accompanied with her era's most creative and interesting music video. The album also features other strong album tracks such as: Alice, Free Woman, Fun Tonight, Sour Candy, Sine From Above and Babylon. The rest are forgettable.

 

From what I've remembered after listening to Eternal Sunshine, I absolutely love Yes, And? and We Can't Be Friends and there's a ballad I like on this album. 

 

 

Conclusion:

 

Gaga's first three albums were amazing (TF, TFM and BTW), she lost steam with ARTPOP, but still manages to saves things by giving us great album tracks and could-be-singles on every album, which is due to her writing ability to create strong hooks. Her lyrics post-BTW are a bit hit-or-miss, but all of her music videos apart from Stupid Love and Perfect Illusion are top-tier. 

 

Ariana, on the other hand, has managed to remain consistent by giving us great singles on every album and has shown artistic growth and maturity, whilst giving us better music videos than Gaga has given us as in recent times.

Depending on the day, I could swap between ASIB and Positions but overall, I think Ari has had the better/more consistent 7 album run. Gaga came out SWINGING with TF/M though that was a classic
