I think SS & LO will serve as a lesson to Selena that she can’t skate by and smash by giving us the bare minimum. I definitely feel she has a great body of work in her, but I’m not holding my breath with all her acting projects.

tbh as a long time Selenator, I've lost any hype for SG3 at this point... Single Soon and Love On are not worthy to be pushed imo and it showed, the GP didn't connect either

I am glad she will expand into her acting career mode, I want to see what she has in store, she doesn't seem in the right headspace to release quality music right now, I miss the Revival/Droplet and Lose You to Love Me era

I mean let’s be honest the album would have been announced if Love On was a hit. I guess her label told her to go back to the drawing board. I think she’ll end up scrapping the album and will just continue to release standalone singles until she eventually announces her retirement from music. She’s clearly more passionate about acting and her Rare Beauty brand, which is understandable.

Yall, Selena is like 30 she is not retiring from music  She knows she can release an album to at least moderate success anytime. She has a big enough core fanbase that she can keep stringing along with promises of a possible album. All while doing projects she just wants to do and make her more money.  She's literally having Hilary Duff Syndrome who does basically the same thing to her fans.

 

Both of them want to be huge actresses, but both are far more prolific pop stars.
