AvadaKedavra Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Let's be frank, even if we're not thrilled about it, we'll likely end up streaming her new music once it's released. However, from a moral standpoint, it's not good. The healthcare industry in the United States is exploitative and morally bankrupt. Despite its advancements, the way it capitalizes on expensive drugs, treatments, and services is sick I'm grateful to live in a country where medicines are affordable and accessible. Unfortunately, with the new president in my country, things are deteriorating rapidly
IWantASoda35 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Why is this such a big deal? She’s obviously not making any money through music (same with the other pop girlies). So makes side hustling for her upcoming album

The ARTPOP backlash permanently traumatized her and you can tell she has never had a desire to be a true Pop star like she was in the early 2010s ever since. Cheek to Cheek/Joanne/A Star is eras were complete 180s, musically and to the audience she appealed to. Going from appealing to LGBT and the artsy scene to middle-aged conservatives and older sophisticates. And the biggest change by far was her overnight just ditching her love of fashion. She was known for the wacky outfits every single day in her Popstar era, and now she absolutely never cares about fashion at this point it’s so bizarre when her entire personality and presentation as an artist was tied to it severely. It really is insane to look back at early 2010s Gaga and the Gaga since. Almost as if she had some dissociative moment with her prior self and never looked back. and when she does try to play fully into that classic gaga persona now, we end up with Chromatica, a caricature of her past self. It really felt like she was dressing up as gaga for Halloween. I'm hoping in the future, we can get a mix of both old/new gaga. A more sophisticated and monochrome era with cutting edge sexy visuals that are thought provoking and mysterious. Edited March 5 by ElectricStyle wording lol 4

It’s the company patting itself on the back for “doing something good.” I would hope that people with media literacy, regardless of who they stan, would be critical of any pharmaceutical endeavor or any charity involving a multi-billion dollar company. I, for one, want to know where the money is going. What is it being used for? Who, specifically, are they “helping?” What percentage of donations, if any, is Clinuvel allowed to pocket? What kind of insane tax breaks are donors receiving in return? It’s wild to me that people cannot accept or engage in any criticism that involves their “faves,” especially when the criticism has real world implications. But keep simping for the pharmaceutical industry just because the Poker Face singer wants to make some extra cash. 10 4
