Flowers really morphed so many delusional people's perspective to think that Miley is bigger. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and that's all. Miley's staying power kinda faded away. Look at how the singles after Flowers and even Doctor have been / are doing. She is not consistent, meanwhile Eternal Sunshine is looking at a 250k debut first week (based on over 60k pre-orders on her website alone, which is a bigger number than Positions). Ariana's career has been much much more consistent with every album being a success, cant say the same thing about Miley. I actually like them both (Ari more of course) but I am not blind.

I did not think it would be such a debate here. Ariana is obviously bigger than Miley, she has the bigger albums, and way more hits (even if Flowers is bigger than any Ariana single). That said, I think Miley will be a bigger icon in the future, and have a way bigger impact than Ariana. But numbers wise, Ariana is definitely bigger. I love them both by the way !

Yes it’s Ariana. Call me maybe is bigger than any Rihanna, Katy, Beyonce, Pink or Taylor song, does that mean she’s bigger than them :rip: Miley’s sales aren’t that impressive. Even her peak bangers isn’t impressive at all.

To me, Miley has always seemed bigger even though I’m sure Ariana beat her streaming wise. But between sales, touring, impact Miley seems bigger (HM included ofc)

Ariana has two tours that grossed more than Miley’s biggest :skull:

While Sour is the biggest ex-act album since year 2000, Olivia still has a bit to go to surpass the career of Ariana.  However, never fear, she is on a good pace to do that.

The Climb + Wrecking Ball + Flowers + Party in the USA feel more memorable than Ariana’s hit catalogue. And Miley feels like a bigger celebrity.

Right now I give the edge to Miley. I would have said Ariana a few years ago. I will say I think Miley is definitely more endeared with the GP. I think people love being able to see her rebellious era with Bangerz to where people where shellshocked to see Hannah Montana twerk on stage to now hear Miley reflect about how the spotlights burned her and forced her to grow up with songs like User To Be Young. I think people have a better holistic picture of Miley’s journey through life so the GP was happy to see her collect her flowers at the Grammys recently with her first win.

Just my rambling on the matter. But I hope that makes sense.

Not the biggest, but the most consistent. Miley's name recognition is insane and so is Selena's because they've just been around so much longer (~7 years is a long time in the industry).

This thread is going to be fun to revisit in two weeks. Miley hasn't seen a #1 album in over a decade and 3 out of 5 of her #1 albums are Hannah Montana soundtracks. Do y'all remember how ESV performed?  :rip:

well....:lmao:

Miley will forever be the #1 ex-act this is because she’s simply has more charisma even when she’s being messy. Other a list musicians acknowledge her and she’s just that girl.

She’s the bigger star and has more memerorable hits not even counting HM.

with Miley what you see is what you get.

She’s also the only ex-act who won two Grammys in two main categories this year

Flowers did that :clap3:

She seems to be the only one to have truly trascended that status. But to be fair, Miley will always have that fake wig looming over her career giving how immensely successful Hannah Montana was.

Ariana was on a decently successful Nickelodeon show at a time when Disney was experiencing a tween renaissance and I'd imagine had most of the viewership shares.
