The only difference is that she’s older and out of shape in those videos, 10 Years ago she could get away with it because her charisma and sex appeal clouded everything 

 

I say this as a fan, never stanned her for her talent on stage.

 

And also to her defense, Birthday and Needed Me are not tracks that you can really do much on stage, especially not in a wedding

You can tell she doesn't care about music or performing anymore. Her heart is not in it, make up is making her tons of money, she's a mother of 2 and she's tired of doing it for so many years. I understand it fully, but at the same time... put some effort in it or simply refuse to do it. It's unprofessional.

Her effort at the Super Bowl was nowhere near proportionate to the magnitude of the event. But yes it was more of effort than she gave for this wedding.

Now it's off topic but lets not pretend that she hasn't gotten much better at hitting this note over the years, like of course a collection of videos from late 2014 when the song was new and her ED was at its worst would be not... good

I haven't seen a video of her not nailing it on the Eras tour, so clearly her voice has held up well over the years and is in a much healthier place.

 

Now, can we please get back to dragging Rihanna?

Y'all have never been to a Rihanna concert before and it shows 🤣 Luckily I was blessed to see her two times before her retirement.

 

But first of all, a one-off wedding show is not equivalent to a world tour... in so so many ways. Second, it's no secret that she hasn't been performing lately, so yeah it's obvious she's not gonna be giving her best performance of all time. She herself probably rehearsed only for a few days, if even, for this wedding.

She was already like that at the Anti tour and I know because I attended.
