Khal Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Everything about this era so far comes across like the label responded "the **** you're not" when she told them she wasn't planning on releasing music until after Wicked. So, she went into the studio, cobbled together some songs and half-assed an album. 3 2 1
raven Posted February 29 Posted February 29 I kinda don’t care and neither does she clearly. I only care about the album being good. 1

Mezter Posted February 29 Posted February 29 I think so but this is clearly what she wants so I'm not tripping over it. As long as she comes with the bops
Onyxmage Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Well as we have seen so far in the streaming era most songs (and albums) from bigger celebrities instantly go #1 no matter how bad they are. So I doubt it will be a flop. The question is how long can she stay in the Hot 100/BB200. Nobody is looking for Ariana to make music of any substance (like Doja and most other MPGs) so as long as the songs are cute and listenable (radio friendly) she should do fine.
Gelato Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Who cares I just want to enjoy the album Why do you care about numbers on a screen
Tm4074 Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Wasn't this said about Positions and that backfired? Y'all making judgements about an album you haven't heard yet...be serious.
Raichu Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Well we should hear the music and go from there. I didn't care for yes, and? because the lyrics were a bit offputting and took me out but the beat was definitely hot.

In the end, it seems that people on ATRL only "stan" for sucess, and move onto the next big thing, or eventually quit Top 40 music once you reach a certain age bracket. We have seen this play out with the mid-to-late 90's babies moving on from Gaga to Miley Cyrus in 2013, and eventually become inactive within their fanbase once they get older. The music industry will churn out someone new. Isn't the new "it" girl Tate McRae? look how many people started "success" stanning Tate who probably didn't care about her before. 60% of the users so charts obsessed its sad
What_A_Mess Posted February 29 Posted February 29 No scooter no hits oop Spoiler Jk, I will still listen to it in full to see if there’s anything good
SlimyGhoul Posted February 29 Posted February 29 I mean, I personally don't think so, her first single went #1. I do think there was a BIIIIG backlash to that single though and lots of ppl were NOT feeling her after
Gerardo Posted February 29 Posted February 29 It looks like, but she also doesn’t seem to care so I won’t bother about it that said, if the 2nd single is a success it will probably save the era
UnusualBoy Posted February 29 Posted February 29 We'll need to see if something else from the album takes off, if not then yeah, her first "flop" because Yes, And? isn't doing much noise rn.
Bethenny Frankel Posted February 29 Posted February 29 she doesn't care about the era and isn't touring for it so why should we care
gatito Posted February 29 Posted February 29 she's topping positions debut week sales and the lead was already #1

I wish this logic can be used for every single artists because it’s true but it seems this logic is used for some & others are dragged.

Johnathon Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Maybe. It’s her 7th album in a decade long recording career, so it doesn’t truly matter and she clearly doesn’t care if it does
Mandalore Posted February 29 Posted February 29 (edited) I don't care about her like that but I hope it's a smash because the way people and the media were quick to run with potential lies about her personal life to justify tearing her down doesn't sit right with me. Edited February 29 by Mandalore
ATRL Moderator Azulito Posted February 29 ATRL Moderator Posted February 29 We’ve heard one song from the album…
