I mean she’s currently competing with acts like Dua and Ariana, newcomers Noah and Ben plus acts like JLo, Justin and Usher are also releasing and she’s stomping.

Embrace the past but live for the now…

Eminem has sold over 200m EAS and he is still selling more than Beyonce ( even 2x actually if we go by last year)

The goal post always moves for her. At least we are past the days of her being “beneath” all the blonde white female pop stars of her era.

But would anyone know that who doesn't follow sales numbers?

Well clearly people are listening to him more than anyone so does it matter what they know or not??

Cause they know themselves who they are listening to. Lol

Let’s just stop talking about Eminem. He has the numbers and the listeners. To be fair, outside of a bunch of chronically online Stan’s, nobody cares that much about “cultural impact” either.

What Beyonce has done in her career is monumental and she has more than carved herself in musical history. We don’t need to argue about what Eminem has done, it’s just a fact that he is the most commercially successful artist of the 21st century

Attributing Texas Hold ‘Em’s success to a marketing campaign is such a kii given the music:

1. Wasn’t featured in the ad

2. Wasn’t immediately available after the ad

3. Has only grown in daily streams since its release

And 16 Carriages isn’t smashing. And was released through an identical “marketing strategy”

It's funny because if I remember correctly, Eminem's last album, unpromoted and without a tour, has done much better than Beyoncé's latest album

Well no.

To add to that, Eminem's last album had one hit while Renaissance had two alongside a few viral album tracks. Beyoncé also had a more consumed album based on its streaming figures. Beyoncé may have had her tour but the album is standalone while Eminem put out the deluxe edition 11 months later. Both don't promote anymore anyway.

Ah well, now we are going to use certifications that are mostly not automatic.
Since you have bothered to paste Wikipedia info it would not have cost you much to check that mtbmb is 2xplatinum eligible in US and Canada, and by the way you could have included it sales in china that some time ago were already around 500k.

Than you should also quit being lazy and see for yourself that Renaissance has already moved over 2 million units in the US and is still charting 80+ weeks later….

But you being a blind hater wouldn’t bother to look at that

Eminem doesn’t command Pop culture or is part of the zeitgeist the same way Beyoncé is. Therefore he will never be part of any serious conversation about who is the ultimate artist of any era. Sales of cowboy hats and bolo ties are already skyrocketing. Having big streams and sales just isn’t enough anymore.

You say that as if mtbmb hasn't been on BB200 for over 100 weeks.

But I love that comparison of Eminem in his 50's vs bey in his 40's, especially considering Eminem's sales with Beyoncé's age.

Eminem’s last album was released in his 40s and has over 30 songs :rip:

I don't think Bey "ended" anyone, she just has impressive longevity, the same can be said about Eminem and Coldplay. I would say those are the three defining acts of the 2000s based on their staying power.

Probably a Gaga Stan who was permabanned who needs the latest artist to “forever stan” to go to war with anytime Beyonce is even mentioned

Obviously not, since she hasn’t surpassed Eminem and most likely won’t.

Never change in gagging you?? If you can’t understand that there are other aspects of Pop culture other than sales, that’s a Thor issue. I would even put Kanye above Eminem :fan:

Saying THE TRUTH about her doesn't make you a "hater". Bey will be FOREVER a legend from her generation, but she's NOT the ultimate early 00's ender, especially internationally, because here in France, no one really cares about her like that (it's the same basically in the rest of Europe basically).

Also, it's funny how people wanna push the narrative that she's like the Madonna or the MJ of modern times, like LMFAO.

Beyoncé NEVER made an album or a song that was controversial and overwhelmed society with touchy topics like "Erotica", "American Life" did for Madonna, or "They Don't Care About Us", "Black Or White", "Earth Song", "Heal The World" did MJ, she NEVER had a hit song that talked about rebellion or pushed the enveloppe about sexuality, global warming, war, politics, interracial relationships, racism, etc...

They were boycotted like crazy when both of them did, were destroyed by the press at the time for it, and still survived musically despite all the scrutiny.

All of those made Madonna and MJ LEGENDARY for real, especially in times where social medias didn't even exist. Beyoncé is legendary on her own, but she's FAR from Madonna/MJ, way TOO FAR !

Eminem sells A LOT but no one really cares about him like that either.

While nobody outside of stan conversations will be talking about "cultural impact" as an entity, the thing about cultural impact is that it's literally how much something impacts culture, and thus is felt by people even if they are not involved in stan dialogue.

It's incredibly hard for non-stars to understand that Eminem's last album or catalogue has sold x amount of albums if no one is talking about it, referencing it, or reacting to his new work. The same cannot be said about something like Formation or Lemonade which may not have compared at all to Eminem's sales but certainly created a lot of cultural impact measured not just by statistics but by larger conversations in media outlets, on social media, by other artists, through impact on other words to follow, etc. And this sort of thing is what has kept Beyoncé's name and artistry relevant, and why people look to her new releases with a lot more wonder, expectation and gravity than I think they regard Eminem's new work, however more successful he may be.

I’m not a Bey hater and me stating facts doesn’t mean I stan Eminem.
