JT55331 Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Gaga superbowl had so much potential. It was obviously a good show but no way near meeting expectations in my view. Katy had left shark so I vote her 1
State of Grace. Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) Katy's went downhill the moment those dancing sharks came up on stage and overshadowed her. It was fun overall though. Edited February 23 by State of Grace. 1
Reginald Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Katy riding on a giant "mechanical" tiger was really badass, for sure. 1
єѕℓαм Posted February 23 Posted February 23 No shade to Katy but Gaga is simply more talented, better performer and vocalist that’s a fact that’s why her HT show is above Katy’s on every list out there 1
JoeAg Posted February 23 Posted February 23 i'm sorry but not in a million years Katy's was good, Gaga's was seriously legendary. if she wasn't a legend before, that performance solidified that she is one 2
Marry The Gods Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Gaga is the superior performer and but I always thought her halftime show could've been a lot better. I remember feeling a bit underwhelmed after watching it. Katy understood the assignment better. 1 1

I feel like she understood the assignment better. I feel the same way. I can't even remember most of Gaga's tbh (no shade) but I remember all of Katy's, so yeah! 1
aesthetic bih Posted February 23 Posted February 23 In terms of spectacles, Katy's was the best in all of Superbowl's Halftime history tbh. It will be very difficult to defeat it's entertainment and replay value, especially those well-orchestrated props and transitions between sets In terms of showmanship and performance skills, Gaga ate Katy up though. Gaga singing and dancing her ass off is very entertaining for me as a fan of her
tetrachord Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I like them both but Katy's is more memorable overall because of her colorful sets (even amongst the other performances of recent memory) - it stands out. The others kind of gel together. 1 1
uusagii Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Katy's was a spectacle; Gaga's was a real performance 1
babycomeround Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Gaga's performance was undercooked as usual. She really has the potential which is frustrating but missed the mark. She needs a better a Creative Director and stop going through the motions so much. There really doesn't feel like there's been much artistic growth since 2011. She's easily the better singer & performer but I'd rather watch Katy's any day. 1 1
Happylittlepunk Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Gaga Super Bowl is actually remembered and Katy Super Bowl isn’t that should tell you something. 2 1
perfillusion Posted February 23 Posted February 23 1 hour ago, shyboi said: I love Gaga's as well but i always heard how Katy's was lackluster and is forgotten now But I disagree, I actually think is the best one after Shakira and Jlo. She really wrapped everything up and gave us amazing moments, from sassy, to fantastic and straight up magical with that ending. Which one is superior? No, but at least both got to headline the half time show. Your fave Britney? I heard (on atrl) that she is an "amazing performer"?
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Even a shark can overshadow Katy. That answers your question. Gaga was doing it ALONE. 1
AllyGayTor Posted February 23 Posted February 23 It's funny how color is the main factor here Maybe next time Gaga should fill the stadium with pride flags 1
Trent W Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Katy had a better show while Gaga did more herself on stage if that makes sense 1
ImsoLOUD Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Katy is like the best of the last decade or so. Excluding Beyoncé and Shakira/JLo imo. 1

Performance-wise, no. 1 hour ago, frankvert said: No. Gaga sang live, was more energetic, had a better set list, and performed SOLO to boot I kind of agree with all of this. Katy’s set and props were great but Gaga overall just put on a much better show. 1
shoganai Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) Katy’s visuals, Gaga’s performance Edited February 23 by shoganai
mrpartyrocker Posted February 23 Posted February 23 The production yes, but the overall show Gaga owned that stage!! 1
VerdantHue Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) Katy Perry has one of the best modern Halftime shows ever. It's the most memorable for me too. Edited February 23 by VerdantHue 1
