I'm always stunned at the amount of people that don't know how to pirate in 2024

I honestly enjoy the gamification of her music, its part of what made her so big in the first place. If you’re a completionist just pay up no ones owes you for your hubbies

Wait.. there are different songs on different variants??

and u have to buy it all to complete it?

Some of the comments are saying this

If it's true, the backlash is obviously warranted

I understand but can they not cancel the pre-order and buy the version with all the songs?

Taylor likes her millions first week, she will not stop doing this. It's also an understanding in her fanbase that she needs the best first week sales possible.

I've always found the different editions of everything SO lame.

Its not a new concept :deadbanana:Rihanna has a Loud Japan Version but with Taylor instead of a random remix no one wants, she actually puts a whole new song

The taylor stans live their lives like this and they are capable of surviving? :deadbanana:

An artists not releasing the songs on the album they belong to is the weirdest thing i have ever heard i’m shocked :bibliahh:

There is a tracklist for the official album and there is a tracklist for people who want to hear more songs which we call deluxe. Putting a different song on every different cover is damn cringe. The stans in here trying to normalize it are not okay in their head and YES I JUDGE YOU :suburban:

Okay

i mean who cares even? eternal sunshine has 7 covers and nobody complains

That is not comparable lmao. All the eternal sunshine variants have the same album, it's just a matter of choosing which cover you like more and whichever you buy you'll get the full project anyway. Taylor is making all her variants have slightly different tracklists so her die-hard fans feel forced to buy them all because they don't wanna miss a song.

Just pirate the extra tracks

Works for brains. We’ve always had Target exclusives with bonus tracks, we used to have Best Buy exclusives…. :rip: Not a new concept and like everybody has already said… just don’t buy the album and keep it moving!

I mean, when I buy an album I only buy one which is the version with most tracks or extra content, usually from Japan, Target, or Deluxe. Maybe people should start doing the same?

just wait til they announce the japanese edition with all the bonus tracks :coffee2:

Funny seeing people call this a "money grab" when it's actually just meant to maximize her first-week sales. Profits from these variants are equivalent to the gross of a few Eras shows, it's insignificant to her.

And that’s on the fans. You can always just search for the songs on youtube like a normal person, and if you’re a “die hard fan”, find a way to download them and listen to them more regularly than you would a damn vinyl record :rip:

I remember seeing a comment saying that Taylor was a landlord that decided to become a singer :dies:

Regardless you don’t have to buy anything from her. I just purchased a single vinyl for Midnights and survived. Poor stans the parasocial relationship makes them feel obligated to buy everything.

Y’all are so desperate for her to get “backlash” :rip: it’s really cringeworthy to watch

And now she's gone and disabled the comments on that post she's received backlash on.
