SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted February 21 Posted February 21 BFFR, even the most anti-musical incels, will watch the trailer at least. They need to do a good job at selling the movie with that, and no one will stop going to the cinema because it's labeled as a musical. They had plenty of time so they better come up with a great trailer. 3 1

If it looks like a musical and sounds like a musical… it’s a musical. I’m honestly excited to watch this bc i love musicals so bring it on!!

Please keep your mouth shut until after the 1st week of it being released to make assumptions about what people like I guess you are right. One question... Are You Going To Watch It? I'm going to watch it after the reviews come out. 22 minutes ago, SweetOreosOfHeaven said: Pop Star to The Female Tom Cruise, only Gaga 1

This will do no less than a billion, quote me on that one. The media circus beforehand will be huge with Gaga and Joaquin just being themselves on the press tour. Critical acclaim, the whole thing. Lemme predict an Oscar nomination for both of them while I'm at it. 8
Happylittlepunk Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Gaga is going to hit with this role as Harley and the incels wil have no choice but to sit down. Gaga always takes her acting roles seriously that’s why she stays booked and busy and has the respect from the acting industry. Meanwhile you guys faves can’t even crack it with 5 minute cameos. Not every pop girl can be an acclaimed professional actress She's a real actress. I've worked with great singers who tried to act, but they didn't have the expertise that the job required. Gaga has it all. Sarah Duggins 2 1

A Star Is Born is literally the same premise of the 1937 movie (Janet Gaynor). The only changes are the set design, fashion, actors, modernity of society beliefs in the movies and place and time it is happening. ASIB is part of a franchise known to have musical elements and already has generational fans. The Streisand ASIB doesn't have many fans, and most of the Gaynor and Garland fans are dead though... 2

CoolNebraskaGuy Posted February 22 Posted February 22 OGHs coming in here to seethe about the budget of FAD. Must suck that despite their delusions and copium, Gaga still has massive appeal and remains a universally adored megastar. That's a really hard pill to swallow OT: Yes Gaga, yes money 1 3

Pop Star to The Female Tom Cruise, only Gaga Yes I will. I am both a monster and a massive Joker 1 fan and I couldn’t be more excited. I think people are reading into this too much as if it’s going to be some type of a high school musical. Joacquin would have never said yes if he didn’t like the script! It will be a great sequel and Gaga will bring exactly what it needs with her Harley Quinn role!

BNF91 Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Eh I wouldn't put a billion as a lock, but $750-800M seems like a safe bet. I hope for $850-900M. 2
Jude Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Heard Joaquin only got 4M from the first Joker movie. If we compare it to Margot's earning from Barbie she also got 4M. So Gaga getting 12M already on her 3rd lead role is insane.
