Charisma doesn't equal success, let people enjoy whatever they want. you know kpop companies heavily inflate the sales of their groups at the end of the day they're irrelevant outside of a very niche community of teenagers, Water remains bigger than any LSRFM song or member 3 1
Polgg48 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 hybe artists again, you wont see westerners complain on other labels ones except blackpink. it's getting weird

I have to give NewJeans their dues cause their creative director did it right and got an actual artist with a unique sound to make songs for them. Erika De Casier and her friends Smerz, etc used this sound even before Pink. 1 5

Steal choreo, image, sound from established, usually black western artists, add some lifeless looking aesthetic to it, shoot a video in 2140p with epilepsy inducing colours, and their stans think they’re doing something. Even as a Kpop Stan, yes it’s so reductive that I’ve grown out of it. 1
AdrianNicki Posted February 20 Posted February 20 (edited) I don't know if I could call that plagarism but it's definitely not good. That kpop perfomance is so cheap and lifeless. Edited February 20 by AdrianNicki 1
Revolution Posted February 20 Posted February 20 If you listen to music from Brazil, Mexico, India, Egypt, South Africa, Morocco, Nigeria, Turkey, etc., they all contain indigenous influences. The way South Korea just shamelessly rips off whatever is trending in the Anglosphere is so weird. 8 1
katyberry Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Idk what but I was not expecting the first few comments that were acting as if they didn’t rip off Water’s genre, choreography and even Tyla’s outfits 1
professor2000 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 LOVE Tyla, but it doesn’t sound like Water to me. But there is def some appropriation going on with their track in general.
Bey_Rihstan Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I mean K-Pop would be nothing without the Black genres, styles and artists they rip off of. Should hardly be shocking to anyone at this point 5 1
Taylena Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Stans of western pop music are always so bitter about kpop This isn't even genuine backlash but stans of other groups trying to make an issue out of it. 1 2

sourprint Posted February 20 Posted February 20 shes wanting to stir drama thats the only thing i see love both but that was so uncalled for
BellKat Posted February 20 Posted February 20 She also posted this She really said: "don't use me to drag other women" 1 1
Afterglow Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Tyla doesn't even want to be considered Black as she uses and profits from the best of what the culture offers, she should look at herself first. 1 1 3 2
newaespa Posted February 20 Posted February 20 idk but LSRF is currently one of the worst kpop group atm so... not surprising i guess? 2 1 1
applestar Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Le sserafim doesn't pick out their songs so they should take it up with hybe Asians who speak a completely different language than English/ any other western languages get more heat than white people (Ari, JB) doing black genres. Korea doesn't understand American politics and obviously they are just doing what they see as a musical trend, and they believe anyone can do it, which is wrong. Whats shocking is Le Sserafim is so incredibly untalented so they must be some type of a threat if trendy western artists care what kpop does an ocean away. Why keep your heat for a group with Kazuha, who can't sing, a group that has no visuals, and a group that has no hits? Kpop's power ig 3

sweetkiss Posted February 20 Posted February 20 not tyla getting cocky after recording one song GIRL bye 1 1
Katamari Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I thought this was gonna be g idle but they like going to Islam instead
Gui Blackout Posted February 20 Posted February 20 The songs sound nothing alike, so that's a reach. The Le Sserafim song is lowkey better actually
Luckitty Posted February 20 Posted February 20 kpop groups are always copying someone else one of the reasons i stopped listening to kpop, there's 0 authenticity
