Alex Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I feel like the general consensus back then in the Tinashe fandom was that this song was "too pop" and wasn't exactly supported properly. However, the song and video has since aged like wine and is still sounding fresh did Superlove deserve better? 10

Spoiler Just like charli when she smashed with an unlock it mashup on tiktok using superlove's instrumental and tinashe getting none of the credit thank u 1 2
wildsidenormani Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Well, yes! Superlove was my SOTY. The tasteless GP can't recognise a serve when it's right in front of them 4
Dr. Alexander Posted February 17 Posted February 17 This song was literally ahead of its time because in 2018-2019, you had hit songs with the same SoSo Def Bass All-Stars sound such as “Go Crazy” and “In My Feelings” smashing.
Lord Gaga Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Well yes Tinashe deserves to have the same level of success as sza 1
Iyanla, Fix Me Posted February 17 Posted February 17 well no cute vid mid song cute girl love her tho
TinashesLighter Posted February 17 Posted February 17 the video alone (minus that goofy 'bate bate chocolate' choreography at the end) should have been enough reason for it to smash, its such a fun song!
glitch Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Yes, it literally sounded like nothing else that was out at the time. And several K-pop artists have ripped off the video since. Oh Tinashe the trendsetter you are
ohwow Posted February 17 Posted February 17 it should have been a cute top 40 hit and opened the gates for this tru smash that never happened 3
Digitalism Posted February 17 Posted February 17 This type of ciara song never charts so it was obvious it would flop Now Charli's that deserved 1
Walk_Away21 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Yes one of her last songs I was smashing the repeat button on @Sexyzinger
ATRL Moderator supaspaz Posted February 17 ATRL Moderator Posted February 17 Everything Superstar T does deserves to smash!
Frappucino Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Duh, not the Angels trying to pull some demonic **** in here tho

Doja Cat's Agora Hills smashing shows how ahead of its time this song was.
ithinkheknowsoutsold Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Superlove is the ultimate summer song for me, I can't wait for it to be May so I can blast it on repeat.
SecretSecret Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Yes. A perfect pop song. It had the quality, as always, but was also super catchy and GP-friendly. The video is gorgeous as well, and completely in tune with the trends of the time. I don't know how she didn't go mad when this flopped. I'd think that God hates me or something The public really doesn't know what's best for them.
