Taylor donates $100k to family of Kansas City parade shooting victim

Whether this is for PR or not does it really matter? Using this to make cheap digs at an artist you don’t like when someone’s family just lost a child in an ongoing US gun-control issue is so below the belt. The family will benefit and that’s what matters.

That’s lovely, but…

Why couldn’t she have donated anonymously. Like, a celebrity of her magnitude, I feel like others wouldn’t be so blatant with donating such a huge amount. It’s a great deed, but, something about it feels “look at me doing this great thing!” :rip:

Sure, she’s a great business woman, but when does she stop being so “show-offy”?

She has to be the one at every award show being so dancy and all over the place, she has to be the one announcing a new album in a room full of her peers, she has to be the one who wins awards in order to feel like she’s doing her job right, she only exhibits acts of feminism when it pertains to her or benefits her, etc. It’s just that Taylor’s the only celebrity I can think of who exhibits these behavior and mostly the reason why I can’t get into her even though she has a listenable discography.

She can’t do anything right to you people omg…

Are you really this bitter? Congrats, all the attention on this thread went to your bitterness and hypocrisy!

You're such an attention wh*re like what you claiming Taylor is 🙄

OT: Thank you, Taylor! This will be a huge help for the grieving families especially since funeral is very expensive.

Good for the family and a good action from Taylor :clap3:

But it does make me remeber her brazilians fans mentioning that if the tragedy that happened in Brazil happened in the US instead Taylor would've cared more

The shooting is a ******* sad news

Say what you want, but Taylor Swift is a sweet ******* kind soul :clap3:

Im the biggest OTH but I will say, this is very nice of her. It's always good when a grieving family doesn't have to add more financial stress on top of everything else they're going through. Thank you miss Swift.

I would be appalled if she didn't. That's a flight to the supermarket for her.

Her PR team working overtime in the U.S.A.

They should have done the same with the poor girl dead at one of her concerts in Brazil.

Sadly this is when you realize all of this donations are only for her own benefit.

That leaves a bitter taste in my mouth considering what happened in Brazil and how her own fans had to fund the transport to get the body of the girl who died back to her family while Taylor and her team remained silent. I remember how people wondered what would've been her behaviour if that happened in the US and well... there's your answer!

Her doing this is nice. That's it. Discourse on anything other than that is useless and idiotic.

her haters are so insufferable :rip: please seek therapy :rip:

This is lovely of Taylor, and absolutely nothing to criticize her over.

What is awful, however, is the senselessness of yet another mass sh**ting/g*n tragedy that has resulted in another life cut short, while our politicians continue to turn a blind eye to the blatant fact that we NEED stricter laws. Not to go on a rant, but it honestly feels hopeless at this point.

Taylor Swift—or any celebrity—wouldn’t be donating to a cause like this if the US wasn’t so backwards as a country.

Absolutely rotten, on the inside and out.

I will love how people transform this into being a bad thing Taylor did in their head

I agree with everything you wrote, except for the "she has a listenable discgraphy" part lol.

Travis also donated 100k to two little girls that were shot (and survived thankfully) during the parade, through his local KC charity "87 & running"
