UnusualBoy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 That's lovely. Didn't know there was another shooting, smh.
Brikenbur Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) That’s lovely, but… Why couldn’t she have donated anonymously. Like, a celebrity of her magnitude, I feel like others wouldn’t be so blatant with donating such a huge amount. It’s a great deed, but, something about it feels “look at me doing this great thing!” Sure, she’s a great business woman, but when does she stop being so “show-offy”? She has to be the one at every award show being so dancy and all over the place, she has to be the one announcing a new album in a room full of her peers, she has to be the one who wins awards in order to feel like she’s doing her job right, she only exhibits acts of feminism when it pertains to her or benefits her, etc. It’s just that Taylor’s the only celebrity I can think of who exhibits these behavior and mostly the reason why I can’t get into her even though she has a listenable discography. toxicgenie Posted February 16 Posted February 16 good for her. I think making it public makes sense to call more attention to what happened
Velvet Night Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Very kind of her and a wonderful gesture to the family. RIP to the victim, she didn't deserve that cruel fate. 5

Bosque Posted February 16 Posted February 16 She donated 50k then thought “hmm that seems a bit low” and added 50k a minute later very nice gesture of her 5

One of these days you'll understand that Taylor Swift doesn't owe chronically online weirdos like yourself anything and maybe then we will be free of reading your nonsense in every thread about her. May you find a hobby, job, some love...anything! 19 1

It was raised to the current limit of $50,000 specifically because Taylor Swift tried to donate that much to a girl with leukemia, and had to split it into installments just like she did here. I hope what she has given today helps the family get everything they need in the wake of what happened. 11

This is prime example why no one takes Taylor’s detractors seriously. They are almost never constructive when it comes to criticising her, her traits, her actions. It’s always forced negative notion and opinions. Anyway, hopefully this turns out super helpful to the victim’s family. 1 13

A swiftie who was at the parade, who also happens to a family friend of the victim, posted the go fund me link. Swifties on Twitter tag Taylor nation. Everything is not a weird plan. 4
