Our membership did not agree with the recording academy’s picks for the 2021 ceremony. Billie Eilish forfeits her win to Dua Lipa for “Don’t Start Now,” while Taylor Swift’s “cardigan” takes the prize the Grammys bestowed upon HER’s powerful reflections on racism. Taylor now has the most Song of the Year wins in this series, as well as the most overall wins.

In 2022, both top prizes obviously went home with Silk Sonic for “Leave the Door Open,” which everyone knew would happen the moment the song was released. Also amongst the nominees were an ecclectic mix of hits of varying quality, recent academy favorites, and ABBA with their first ever nomination. Vote for your favorites now.

Horrible picks because they got rid of the quality-control panel so anyone remotely popular at the top of the alphabetical ballot got in! 10 slots because the Grammy president rigged the general field in the eleventh hour just to fraud Kanye an AOTY nomination! :deadbanana4:

Happier Than Ever for both. She deserved a full sweep with this album. If only the cultural reset WWAFA wasn't only 3 years earlier.

Drivers Lisense / Leave The Door Open splitting them would be my second option.

SOTY: Leave The Door Open. Great melody, great vocal arrangement, beautiful song.

ROTY: Happier Than Ever. I don't like Billie's music outside of a song or 3, but this one was so good.

These nominations AGAIN so BAD nnnnnn honestly Leave the Door Open winning for both is a pretty good outcome...

I'll keep Leave the Door Open for my ROTY vote and give Happier Than Ever my SOTY vote. Both would deserve either though.

I don't care if the ABBA nomination is likely because of it being alphabetical on the ballots, it is a great nomination and totally deserved.
