R&B and downtempo influenced hit:

Rock ballad, globally successful, reaching 1B streams this year:

She's shown versaltilty on her work collaborating with other artists too.

Reggae, hard rock, psychedelic rock, R&B, hip-hop, jazz and more. You name it.

Dead Petz alone is a testimony to her versatility and her commitment to the experimental nature of her artistry. No comfort zone or fear of upsetting pop-dance-obsessed fans, she just got on that studio booth and did it. Miley wins this one to me.

beyonce, madonna, gaga, and rihanna feel like they are able to pull it off better.

i applaud miley for constatntly changing but like someone earlier said, it feels like cosplay half the time

Not only versatile, but also experimental. Her actual discography back that up. :heart2:

It's still Lady Gaga

I would say Gaga is the most versatile, but Miley is versatile also for sure

She’s one of but the material isn’t there. Plastic Hearts and maybe Bangerz are amazing the rest are mid or just straight up bad.

No, Dua is.

She’s done pop, disco pop, and synth pop :clap3:

And currently in her psychedelic pop era :duca:

Miley does different genres more smoothly and confidently than gaga does imo. Gaga sounds great, but idk to me she always just sounds like Lady GaGa no matter what genre it is

Rihanna even being mentioned in here when she barely even contributes to the creation of her music :deadbanana2:

But she is. Probably tied with Gaga but, the latter definitely isn't far ahead of her in terms of versatility as the people on here want to make themselves believe :toofunny3:

Gaga will always have yall pressed :ahh:

Of the newer girls, yes.

Madonna, Mariah, Bey have all tackled nearly every genre successfully.

Mariah versatile, girl please she’s a power ballad bottom and that’s it

In my opinion Madonna and Lady Gaga are the more verse (Miley not yet. Love her though, obsessed with the Grammy performance)

This straight-up lie :deadbanana2:

Mariah is single-handedly responsible for mainstream marrying of genres in the 90s

And she’s done everything from pop, R&B, house, jazz, soul, alt rock (and pop rock), funk, gospel, alt-R&b, reggae, hip hop (and hip hop soul), holiday, country, adult contemporary, Latin pop, disco - all in released music. There are few with such a varied discography.

Kali deserves a mention for this reason too

Being able to constantly experiment with other musical genres is quite literally versatility.

She is. No other girl has switched genres up like her.

Covering some songs and singing jazz don't make you versatile, you have to be a real pro.

What? Mariah inherently has better understanding of whatever genre she is singing than Madonna or Lady Gaga, needless to mention her capabilities to back it up. She has successfully tackled power ballads with soaring highs, RnB jams with impeccable timing, Hip-hop infused tracks where she mastered all those staccatos, house remixes which are completely resung in different melodies, disco tracks, jazz covers with masterful back phrasing, the list goes on.

The way yall ignore this is sending me :deadbanana: none of ur favs is as versatile as Bey

Just because of some Liza Minelli cosplay here and there doesnt make them more versatile. Yall favs cant do Gospel, cant do rap, cant do latin, while Bey can literally do it all. As if Miley is able to pull off Opera. Be serious :deadbanana:
