It was rude but unintentional.

i give Taylor grace because she was caught in the moment but while some will just shade her for fun she’s had this moment before so a younger Taylor might get more grace than Taylor right now.

That said, she didn’t mean it and if this gains traction she should send Celine some flowers out of respect.

Why is this a big deal Taylor gets dragged for the weirdest reasons. I would understand the backlash if she did it intentionally but she was dancing to Celine's music earlier and then hugged her afterwards. Like

Looking at this video and just the video alone (nothing before or after) - it was rude. 

You always at least acknowledge the person giving you the award and thank them, especially a legend like Celine.

You could see that Celine was uncomfortable as well. 

My other thought was that Taylor didn't realize that was Celine Dion at that moment or was just caught up in the excitement of the win. 

There is no reason for her to do it deliberately.
