Her lips were so cute. I loved her little gummy smile.

shes another one of those people like JLo who just morph into whoever they’re dating. It’s sad

Not him... all my hype gone just like that....

Welp, as long as the song is good we will still be streaming!

The song is not bad and I don't mind there being a feature since it would help her

But him again? nah

I mean she’s been teasing fleetwood mac inspired sound so this isn’t much of a surprise.

song sounds nice actually, yall have to come to terms with the fact her days of serving LAMB pop perfection are gone, this is a good route for her

Sad. Really wanted one more cool, avant-garde electropop era from her.

I mean it sounds decent but why the f**k is the lead single a duet with Blake?!

is it for sure her lead?

it sounds cute, they harmonize well but yeah it's a cute album track at best.

she's posted some hints and photos about songwriting sessions lately with writers in that genre, so it's not really a surprise.

edit: forgot to mention she released a playlist on spotify (she never does this) and its all yacht rock/bluesy/singer-songwriter country stuffs

she's been all over the place. i'll bet the last few songs were to see what's working for her right now (country vs. radio pop). hate to say it, but her only thread of cultural relevance right now is blake, and i'm sure those tracks did really well in that genre. it makes sense she'd chase that vibe and probably lean on shelton again to step through it officially.

an ND album would be best, but we know they aren't really known anymore and besides I don't think the bandmates are on best terms (Coachella feels like G is just throwing a bone to a few displaced and complaining fans lbr lol)

I'm not mad at the snippet, need to hear the whole thing though.. I can imagine this on an album with True Babe.

well let's see how the performance goes, i read an article they were open to touring together or new material so that'd be great!

What happened to the creative woman who gave us songs like this

She gave us five incredible albums from 1995-2006 (plus Push and Shove which had some cute moments, and TIWTTFL had the very underrated

“Used to Love You”). It’s not as if there isn’t a pretty deep catalog of amazing Gwen Stefani songs. It’s just not realistic to expect someone to operate at that very high level forever. Like you could make the argument her stuff from Tragic Kingdom to Sweet Escape is one of the greatest runs ever. Cut sis some slack and let her make her country duets.

in case you haven’t noticed, well, everybody’s tired

Nah this feels like a complete abandonment of who she was as an artist and her identity in pop. Very disappointed and really I think she may be out of touch with her fanbase, she's too wrapped up in this love thing and the GP is even tired of it.

She still has the mental capacity to come out of left field and really solidly release something relevant and artistic again in pop, but she chose country which is so tone deaf in today's world.

agree with mostly everything except the abandonment bit. it always felt like an accident that she found her way into pop. looking at her catalog, gwen is a chameleon (appropriator? lol) with music. she's spanned genres, albeit in a pop lens. this song, too, is a country pop sound, and is part and parcel for what to expect from someone this deep in their career, especially given that blake and country-living is her whole thing now.

I understand any opinions about the music itself not being your cup of tea, and this not being the version of Gwen you want...but the idea that it's tone deaf to release country music (which this song only barely could qualify as) in today's world? I'm not even sure what that means lol...it's a genre of music, not an ideology.

Agreed, so sad to think this was the woman who served bops for years. Such a shame to not love her recent tracks .
