We been knew for decades What a silly narrative. My 8 year old niece can name and sing AIWFCIY, Fantasy, Touch My Body & It's A Wrap. That's 4 recent viral hits alone - not everybody has that etc Edited January 31 by babycomeround 4 1

KatyPrismSpirit Posted January 31 Posted January 31 they snubbed her so dirty back in the day. like wild ridiculous grammy snubs. so this kinda makes up for it and she deserves it 2

I would say a Video Vanguard but after some of those recent recipients I'm not so sure She has too many iconic videos that aren't acknowledged enough
Monday Night Messiah Posted January 31 Posted January 31 This award has as much meaning or impact as an NAACP Image Award seeing that it's only for Black individuals. Eventually, everyone has one and they'll have to re-award people multiple times. 2 3

Not everyone gets to dominate an entire holiday with one song while still having 18 other Hot 100 #1s to their name. And she's already been namedropped twice this year on Lil Nas X's (attempted) comeback "J CHRIST" and Megan Thee Stallion's potential chart-topper "HISS", which also references her song "Obsessed". 2

The fact Daydream (which is a classic and highly influential) lost Best Pop Vocal Album over that stupid Joni Mitchell album. 1
BrandNewBrandon Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Those cheesy effects in that video from something as big as the Grammys
