Rolling Stone calls Nicki’s legacy a “crumbling castle”.

But when a queen spends night after night running through the halls paranoid about being dethroned, questioning the security of the palace, and hiding behind villainous alter egos, she risks coming across as an unfit leader — one with a broken moral compass who doesn’t know when to call it quits.

It’s during these hyper-visible moments, when she isn’t being showered in praise and admiration, that Minaj has a harder time deciphering fans from foes. For her, nearly any display of dissent, or disinterest, is indistinguishable from disrespect. But unlike the sales, chart positions, and plaques that both she and Barbz are quick to remind you of, respect is not often tangible.

She leads them into battle, rather than turning a blind eye to the very fights spurred by their boundless allegiance that she asked them not to engage in.

she's singlehandedly ruining her own reputation and legacy because she's petty, jealous, and disrespectful. and sadly she takes every chance she gets to add random ass songs to her already bloated albums. lowkey miss 2010-2014 nicki sm

Her legacy been tarnished. It wasn't even that secure to begin with which is why Cardi swooped in and basically accomplished just as much or even more than her in one era.

What truly defines an artist's legacy? Chart-topping albums or the unwavering loyalty of their fans? :coffee2:

She is so deeply unlikeable. It really is overshadowing her artistry..which was never really even all that to begin with.

They're not wrong, but it's interesting to me that publications like RS and others like them generally stayed quiet during Nicki's many previous Twitter rant episodes. :celestial5:

How is it interesting? It’s this week’s main happening in pop culture? It’s literally everywhere. Publications obviously always publish about stuff that will lead to clicks, and this feud will of course lead to that.

The article was wonderfully written and spoke nothing but the brutally honest facts. But that poor author is about to get doxxed and harassed to no end. Sending her good energy.

On one hand, it’s odd that her castle wasn’t crumbling after her marriage was made public, but that could be manipulated as blaming her husband’s actions on her. So on the other hand, it’s gratifying that she’s being held accountable for her own actions over the past week.

She’s made enough of her own bad decisions since her marriage that this commentary is so overdue.

Funny thing is that Megan didn't even mention Nicki. Nicki is doing this all to herself.

Roc Nation is a full-service management, music publishing and entertainment company founded by Jay Z.

“Independent”.

All this does is further suggest they are trying to take her down - specifically - as she has been claiming. Though she’s also done herself no favours with the way she’s reacted & has given them everything they want. It won’t work, ultimately, but she needs to play it more sleuth.

Because this is the most unhinged she’s ever acted.

What legacy? No one outside of white gays who listen to female rap ever gave a ****. :dies: To everyone else she was just a Lady Gaga clone who rapped or whatever. No one with half a brain ever took her seriously with the tacky wigs and butt implants.

She could’ve enjoyed the success of her current album. Instead she decided to play the fool

Mainstream media (AKA white media) doesn’t pay attention to her antics unless she’s feuding with a relevant enough celebrity or some part of the “establishment” like the Grammys and VMAs. That’s why her harassment of her husband’s victim made no impact on her career.

Plus this is probably the most deranged she’s ever acted publicly.

She got all this on herself.
