If the Switch successor comes out this year then we can expect a new smash game usually the following year. With that being said, what is your dream list of characters that you'd like to see?

I actually think the next smash game is going to either be vastly scaled back in scope or just be a port + new fighter pass some character's I'd like to see though:

 

Waluigi would eat as a representative of the Mario sports series specifically with moves based around it.

 

Detective Pikachu could be a fun way to add the obligatory Pokemon rep with some room for a more interesting moveset. 

 

Spongebob and/or Mickey Mouse would be fun additions because they're legendary cartoon characters who would fit in with Nintendo staples but also have big video game libraries to pull references from

 

Dixie Kong bc Donkey Kong Country 2 is my favorite game ever(she could literally be an echo fighter pls Sakurai)

I know Nintendo stans have been obsessed with getting Geno in (and he has higher likelihood than Mallow), but I'd love Mallow from Super Mario RPG included.

 

I need more non-FF7 Final Fantasy rep. I'm a FF9 stan so Vivi or Zidane or Kuja would be great. Or like... Yuna (X and X-2 lewks) or something.

 

I'm a farming sim stan so I'd love the farmer from the OG Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons games (would be easy to add variants too) or Raguna/someone from Rune Factory.

Yes. We need only ten new characters and the rest should be FEATURES. We NEED The Subspace Emissary, Board the Platform and Break The Target back
