What_A_Mess Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 (edited) Oh absolutely. But too many pop girls are doing disco at the moment. She should wait later. In the meantime she should do a jazz, blues, alternative, or R&B album: Edited January 27, 2024 by What_A_Mess

Tay is in the same vocal range as Selener so leave the actual disco to actual singers like Bey, Ari, Florence, Jesse, and Dua 1
xtiliyan Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 If Kylie can do it so flawlessly, so can Taylor. 4
Infatuation_Junkie Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Not sure her fans would want this.
Bloodflowers. Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I want disco/dance album when Taylor will be in her 40's so she can have her Believe/Confessions on a Dancefloor/Love?/Renaissance era moment 1

Raspberries Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 No, and I don't want her to The natural next step is rock/alternative She's done country, pop, synth pop, folk, indie etc.

AvadaKedavra Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 She can. I feel like a funky and disco record from her would be huge. I was Rooting for Rock taylor after her breakup and new matty healy romance but now she's in a happier. I dont know if Pop Rock is the right genre for her to explore Sometimes i feel like Taylor next direction should be lighter and sunnier after midnights
LOTF Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Ofc swifties would downgrade disco just because their fave doesn't really have that flavor and meat to pull off disco. Elitist little sh*ts. TayTay's melodies are weak AF and instantly forgettable smh

As if country pop that's sometimes a little less country and a little more pop is crossing genre lines. I would suggest listening to literally any other genre than pop to expand your horizons. Edited January 27, 2024 by Jay07 1 1

chiliam Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I want 90s Ace of Base type of dance music from her rather than full on 70s/80s disco or early 2010s edm.

She’s thee princess of POP. fearless, 1989 and folklore are all essentially pop with faux country/folk or alt respectively. 3 hours ago, Raspberries said: The absolute audacity Posting a song Britney was basically forced to record and another one that’s been pitched down (and doesn’t even sound like Britney unlike in the official release) will not make Taylor’s version of TIWYCF sound anymore on key. IBeMe Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 Disco is getting phased out...slowly but surely. It had its nice revival era. I hope she makes an alt pop record like Kate Bush tinged stuff I guess. If she were to do disco right now it would be late to the game. Maybe a disco track for a movie? That could be cute but I dont want an era like that or a lead single like that
Finkypop Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 She has won AOTY with 3 acclaimed albums from 3 different genres (x26272882) She can do literally anything. I’d be here for disco, but I’m excited to see where she takes us next regardless of what it is 1
lonnie Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I think she can, but she doesn't have to. She could explore what she's done before in a fresher, more meditative way the way she did with Folklore. I think her melodies and lyricism shine best with more minimalist and more instrumental-centric music, she could continue exploring that. I hate that she diverged with MIDnights, she seemed to be going on an incredible path with Folklore and kind of regressed a bit with Everbore, but MIDnights was just insulting to the progress she had made.
QueenBLadyG Posted January 27, 2024 Posted January 27, 2024 I need for her to work with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. I think her doing an 80s vibe R&B/pop era would completely show a different side of her artistry and gain her even more fans.
