As a US Citizen, you have complete agency over your own vote and can decide who to vote for and by what metric. Some vote third party, some withhold their vote, etc. I'm not going to criticize you for exercising your right. 2. Everyone must understand that any action or inaction you take has a consequence, and they should be prepared to face the reality of those consequences should they arrive. I personally use my vote as a "this candidate is more likely to support my interests and has a good chance of winning" tool. Others use their vote as a "this candidate morally aligns with me the most" tool. Both are acceptable, but everyone should just understand and be aware / realistic about the likely outcomes of the situation. 3
