Who in the world is still listening to Cruel Summer :rip: Terrible song.

Rooting for Agora Hills and Yes And but I think Ari's track isn't gonna be around very long. Hope I'm wrong!

It's radio that's the one that refuses to let go of Cruel Summer. It was #1 on that metric as recently as last week. Even I'm starting to get annoyed at the radio overplay of Lovin on Me. We desperately need new blood on radio. If they could get behind Lose Control, we might get a new #1 sooner rather than later. Otherwise, expect another 10 weeks at #1 for LoM.

Yes, And? still top 5 even though I was told it'd have a massive plummet

but -45% IS a massive plummet.  If she lost another 45% next week, she won't even be in the Top 30.

It certainly isn't a good hold in points. But it's a good thing she won't be losing 45%, and that a 45% drop only means 4 spots for how high up it was :wave2:

Radio is going up and streams haven't sunk too hard, so it's not looking that bad :clap3: plenty of other lead singles in recent years have fallen way harder

The steaming decrease usually goes 30-40% -> 10-15% and then single digit drops, so it might be in the top ten for a bit longer

1 to 5 for your hyped comeback single is a massive plummet.

If radio keeps dropping Cruel Summer maybe Greedy could reach #2 in 2 weeks

I get the feeling Lose Control is going to pass Greedy before it gets there. LC is #1 on iTunes and Shazam, which usually indicates that its radio is going to be boosted.

I just heard that Xavi song and he sounds even worse than Peso Pluma and I didn't think that was possible  :skull:

The way the points are in the trenches :rip:

If there was no LoM, the #1 would be having miserable 167 points, and it would be a dying 38-week charting song :lakitu:

Yeah I agree that there's a lack of new big smashes right now, but also the days of songs consistently getting +400 and +500 points are gone. They have been on a gradual decline since Billboard kept changing the formula. These are predictions from 2023/2022. It seems like 200-300 for #1s is the new normal? and anything above that is a once in a while SMASH

Yes, its true, but it should be one of the lowest points for a #2, no? But yes, I think a song that manages to stay above 250 pts several weeks is quite a hit nowadays. Above 200 is still quite minor, but good tho - as it seems that its most of the time more than enough to be #1.

God, to remind of those early 2022 charts :deadbanana2: I love basically all the songs, but the points were MISERABLE. Basically all top20 was radio-carried - not because of radio, but because of how miserable streaming was... Lil Nas X on top10 with 6,8M streams :deadbanana2: STAY being #2 with 10,8M :deadbanana2:

January-February are usually slow months in terms of points. Basically, the leftovers from previous year unless the first smashes of the year (ex. Flowers, drivers license). Nevertheless, it's true that it doesn't seem to be much excitement in the mainstream scene right now.

I cant pull for an artist who bites the hands that feed her. But that's just me.
