And they don't even need to, it was ignorant and wild, even though her intentions weren't to demean, they pretty much showed what she thought the value of latinos in the U.S. was: primarily domestic labour. No need to defend comments that even she herself realizes now were wrong.

She said this in 2015, but was probably only a few years late?

 

When I was growing up, tons of people made comments that were almost, if not, word for word the same thing. We need Mexican/Latino immigrants to do shitty jobs no one else will do, was said a ton for field jobs too. I remember this stuck out to because it was the first time I saw this idea met with any kind of push back.
