they were like the one reviewer that were actually honest and didn’t suck off taylor:rip:

them and fantano are definitely the most reliable cause they don’t go easy and hand around 8’s and 10’s like it’s nothing

well, having an educated opinion about anything has increasingly mattered less and less, so this isnt surprising

it's all about memes, followers, influencers, and tiktok now

they did uplift a lot of random good indie acts that wouldn't have been as discovered otherwise tho, so kinda sucks

On a serious note, this is very saddening. Seeing all the great staff members announce their farewell from the brand on Twitter mere minutes/hours after having written their last articles probably. I really do hope they come up with some sort of spinoff. I check the page often so this sucks big time, they remained super prolific until this very end. Whatever becomes of this integration won‘t be the same.

RYM is the most misogynistic place on the internet. From their “best albums of all time” list theres like no female albums in the top 50-100 :rip:

Good riddance. Their reviews of women always focused on their personal lives and little on the actual music. Not to mention they need to stay in their lane. Why are you reviewing Tate McRae? Stay in men’s and indie women’s business

Well complaining about it and not forcing your gay ass scores by giving Ava Max’s albums 5/5 isnt gonna start a revolution now is it!

Real music is dead!

They needed to go years ago. A writer or critic who was a stan of Mariah basically terrorized my favorites album for a horrible and hostile review on purpose.

They are ****** up. Shut it down soon. They deserve the ****.

Just as I predicted; the decline in relevance for music criticism. Love to see it.

This is kinda shocking tbh, I thought they had a good enough following and readership.

If even they are being folded, it's really over for other music publications.

Yeah, same. Pitchfork was culturally the most important music publication. The Rolling Stone of the last decade.

Also GQ is the one that should be folded. Who the **** reads that **** in 2024?
