Tired of gays supporting straights over our own

I will always champion gay/bi men in my life but when it comes to the entertainment industry, I'm not going to consume media that I have no interest in. For example I don't check for Troye's music but when he released Rush which was a bop and I gave him some streams because it was a good song, simple

Love the comments in here touting “I won’t let ANYONE tell me what to think!!” as if preferring heterosexuals over homosexuals isn’t exactly what mainstream media and ideology has told you to think :skull:

Don't let them silence you with the downvote, confusion, and even the laughing reactions; you're absolutely right!

I love Troye Sivan and serpentwithfeet, but Lil Nas X's J Christ is just not good I'm sorry......

Not every gay wants to be like this. Some just want to remain 'masculine' and gay. That type of gay popstar is so rare.

The “masculine” gay guys are rarely truly “masculine”. It’s more times than not an act and they’re suppressing their feminine or soft side in public.

And why can’t masculine gay men support more feminine gay men, when feminine gay men ARE the true trailblazers. If we were all masc we would still be stuck in the closet and living in hiding (which is what some of these “masc” guys really want).

Lil Nas is very masculine when you see him in interviews expect for his clothing. Most of his feminine appearance is more of a unique style that he adopted in music. On contray there are lots of gay porn stars that appear butch but when you hear them in interview even if they don't have a gay voice there is something soft about them and their body language and the way they sound. At this point I suspect those who don't have those feature are either bisexual or gay-for-pay. Lil Nas revealed that he is bisexual. I bet he listened to male rappers and singers (regardless what he says now) and not to our faves before he got famous just like most actual masculine guys do.

It seems like a lot of these users got bonked in the head and forgot it is 1000% more difficult for a LGBT person to break through in the mainstream. Like that’s being completely left out of most of these comments:rip:

Also people aren’t acknowledging that Lil Nas X is the first mainstream gay artist to actually have explicitly gay lyrics. Before him the few openly gay mainstream artists like Sam Smith made songs neutered and catered for straight people so they wouldn’t offend them.

Also peep how after Lil Nas X, both Sam Smith and Troye Sivan changed up.
