I’m really surprised that Ari has to fight for the #1, and may even potentially lose. Thought it would be a clean sweep for her omg..

Sound - Katy Perry (Walking on Air)

Top 80? :penguin:

Im shocked at NAS around #80. Im glad he went after religious bigots again. I figured he’d be top 10 off backlash alone but I guess not much shocks society anymore.

and Ariana debuting at #2 with low points…that claim might have affected her image with the GP more than I thought. And nobody will see the redaction or care, they’ve already labeled her as a homewrecker.

I don't think this has anything to do with it. People in the US just don't like the song. It's not the type of music that makes great numbers there.

The only time she didn't have to fight for the #1 was during TUN and that was unexpected. I'm not surprised at all, especially with a song like this

At this point, it looks like LOM could become into a Jack's signature hit replacing "First Class", which is crazy, but this one is having great stability.

it's what he deserves for sample his own fart, imo.

Yeah that spotify drop was damming. She might even be below Jack tomorrow.

At this point unless there’s a big surprise release the only one I can see dethroning LOM is SZA. But who knows when she’s going to decide to drop, it’s SZA after all lol.

The way What's Poppin is still the best one.

First Class was so vanilla, it won't have good recurrent stats.

Not top 80 :deadbanana:

He might as well call it a buzz single and move on.

Not people calling a #2 a underperformance/flop... :gaycat3:

Some pop girls would die for an "underperforming" single like that...

Anyway yoll, it ain't over yet as Ari's physicals will probably close that 8% gap.

He lost 5 weeks at #1 because of Xmas nonsense. The song is a lot bigger than it seems.

Lol 3 days in… discounted, extended versions, lyrics video, all today. She can’t reach 250 points even with CDs and Vinyls opening week,

she will be number 1 this week but really, all of that for 250 points?

hate me all you want, this is not the lead we wanted (at least me) and it shows.

Nah… again, 250-260 points for number 1 it’s easy when you use all the tricks in the book (valid. Just saying)

I hope this is the week Billboard tweaks its formula and cracks down on these sales (it really should have been done 4 years ago). It would be so wrong if Lovin on Me lost its spot at #1 due to these shenanigans. LoM has been the biggest non-Christmas song every week since its debut. For it to spend only 3 weeks at #1 wouldn't do justice on how strong of a hit it was. It lost out to #1 on its debut week because of CS's absurd airplay number (CS was like the 10th most streamed song that week), and several weeks at #1 due to the Christmas season. It doesn't need to lose any more weeks at #1 due to sales tactics.
