She is literally the biggest gay icon of the 21st century, and she shares this privilege with iconic figures like Madonna, Cher, Britney, etc. Gaga IS queer culture The only time you hear otherwise is on this cult site - the rest of the world recognizes Gaga as one of the greatest gay icons in pop culture history. She's up there with Madonna, Dolly and Judy at this point ATRL conflates standom with obsession, and I think y'all need to consider that maybe Gaga's fans have lives outside of her career. She inspired her audience to chase their dreams, and you see that reflected in how many younger mainstream artists today reference her as an inspiration. 12 4 1
loveisdead9582 Posted January 12 Posted January 12 She hasn’t put out any new music in the last couple of years. She isn’t touring and she hasn’t released any projects either. The gays haven’t abandoned her. She simply hasn’t released anything. 1 1

alexrex Posted January 12 Posted January 12 She has taken a different approach in her career, which now involves acting and not being too overexposed because that almost broke her at her peak in pop music. She may not have the streams of the likes of Taylor Swift or Rihanna, but she's thriving in her own lane at her own pace. As for her fans, well they still fill stadiums and concerts in Vegas, so they haven't just left her yet. 1
theweekend Posted January 12 Posted January 12 well you can't listen to the fame (monster) or chromatica for the rest of your life every day. probably she's the one with the little catalogue out of the girls from her generation.
Reginald Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Allegedly she's preparing to release something in February, so we'll see then who's abandoned who I got shivers seeing the electric guitar + tambourine in her recent studio selfie. Please give us something fun this time
Material Girl Posted January 12 Posted January 12 they haven’t, she’s still very relevant with the old millennial gays who experienced the fame era she’s not as big with younger people because most of what they’ve seen from her is stuff like joanne but she’s still good for a throwback, her old songs get some play on tik tok 1
Dula Peep Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Her moving to Hollywood, the makeup line and Jazz music have truly been tests for who the real fans are. 1 1
John Slayne Posted January 12 Posted January 12 have you ever talked to a gay person? maybe her stans are quiet on twitter but in real life most gays love Gaga or at least some of her songs. literally go to any gay bar, you are almost guaranteed to hear her songs 6
Suilen Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Gays alone can't sustain her streams and it's a GP-dependent metric, they will probably be there for LG7 though. 2
Rei Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Personally, I “left” her because I can’t stand the vocal tone she has been using since Joanne and that ruins most of the songs for me, feels like she’s trying to oversing everything. K bye for now, Sunshine. <3 1 1 5
SleepNoMore Posted January 12 Posted January 12 What is this delusional anti-fan fiction. Gaga is as beloved by the gays as she ever was and the GP is here for her too. As pointed out above her streaming is on par or better than her peers Beyoncé and Katy and her every move so far in her acting career has been a screaming success with the gays and everyone. These ATRL threads that state a completely wrong opinion as if it’s a fact and then asks “Why?” are so tired. 2

BrokenMachine Posted January 12 Posted January 12 They didn't abandon her, they just moved on a little while she's abandoning them while pleasing white straight Hollywood men
OreGuy Posted January 12 Posted January 12 gays are just inactive about her rn bc she's inactive. when lil nas x said **** about her they came in droves to talk back. they know mother. 3
DawnAnti Posted January 12 Posted January 12 They went back when she released rain on me so they’re just waiting for her to make something interesting and her craft ain’t that interesting since artpop if we exclude rain on me 5
By the Water Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Did they though? I mean who else besides gay men listens to Gaga like that in 2024? If anything she’s proof you can’t rely on the gays alone. In fact, ASIB was the highlight of her last 10 years because it appealed to different demographics 5
Phaunzie Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) 1. She transformed from Gaga to The Actor Known as Stefani i.e she stopped being our favorite rebel-activist popstar and resigned to campaigning for her new film. Fans would still love her, if she did more artsy and left-field movies, instead of Oscar bait. 2. She lost all authenticity when she lost her GAGA (Her mojo) immediately after the Sound of Music Performance. Just a theory 3. She surrounds herself with too many Yes man and controversial gurls like Miss Richie and Todrick. 4. She is very tone-deaf when it comes to politics outsides women's rights and white gays. 5. Her new music and performances don't feel effortlessly gaga. Thus, causing these items to sound and look like she is playing character of her past self. 6. Her refusal to not over sing on her songs i.e force her ballad type vocals on songs that don't need it. Over use of runs, belts, screams, etcs. Her lower register and speak-sing vocals of the past gaga work better for electronic soundscapes of her newer works. Edited January 12 by Phaunzie 1 3

Corso Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's the GP, young women, and girls that abandoned her when she pandered to gays with Born This Way. You have it backwards. She has made a comeback though and is in a very good place now that it really doesn't matter anymore. 1
dman4life Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I don't think this is true. I really haven't enjoyed any mudical output from her since Artpop (besides Shallow) and yet I'm still checking for her 1
