My point is there's generally multiple sides to the story and I'm willing to give Ariana and the spongebob creature the benefit of the doubt and assume the previous relationship was done before they started theirs... because, despite what ATRL thinks, not everything is gleaned off surface-level photos and pointless drama.

What they're saying is that Ariana and her brother's lookalike have been quiet so we really don't know the whole story and what either of their relationship status at the time was according to them.
