She will be blocked from getting a third week at #1. Future & Metro Boomin are releasing their collab album on Friday so they will definitely get the #1.

Her team should have fought for the #1 for WCBF this week in the US/UK because its close in both countries. Would have been a good time to release those versions.

The album is serving amazing stability on AM and Spotify. :clap3: For comparison, 11th day on Spotify:

Midnights: 61.8M (+10.8%)

SOUR: 45.2M (+5.38%)
1989 (TV): 35.3M (+8.3%)

eternal sunshine: 34.6M (+10.26%)

GUTS: 26.1M (+10.7%)

Red (TV): 23.9M (+6.2%)

missing data for SOS (its 10th day was 22.4M soo) and TUN apparently did 30.5M on the global chart (from 12 tracks) so ES is her best performing album now. WCBF is whacking 7 Rings as well.  :jonnycat:

Seeing Ordinary Things' streams compared to the rest of the album is upsetting; truly the Blazed of Eternal Sunshine :rip:

At least "ordinary things" has the excuse of being the album closer...poor "blazed" is literally the first 'proper' track following the acapella intro. Reminds me of how Ed Sheeran's "Eraser" - the opener of 2017's "Divide" - is comfortably the least streamed off the album, where even the four bonus tracks outperformed it :celestial5:

As much as I'm a proud defender of the song (and all of the Pharrell productions on "sweetener" for that matter) I get why it felt jarring following "raindrops (an angel cried)". I adore the album, still my personal favourite from her, but it would have benefitted from slight rearrangements to make smoother transitions into the different production styles present on the record.

I was perched waiting as a guest viewer before album release and finally the pearly white gates to heaven have opened and i'm a member.. I waited ten whole years for this post

the album slaps so hard, i still have eternal sunshine and supernatural on repeat!

Welcome to ATRL!

Great picks for your current favourites! As much as I really enjoy the original solo version, I find myself obsessed with "supernatural" ft. Troye Sivan at the moment. Their voices match so well together!

Still fuming they released the extra versions a day early. Hopefully they do something to keep it at #1 this week

They release the remixes when they're redundant and then don't move when it's needed the most

They need to just put them on streaming

THIS. The album suffers, according to me, from having each track feel like standalone singles thrown in together at times. It can get kind of uneasy.

@TeamAriana MOVE! ONLY 18 POINTS

Versions on streaming. NOW! What's taking SO LONG?

(I hope it's doing #1 on global charts for a second week)

18 points is not that easy to achieve. The fanbase is already broke after buying the album. It's time to accept we are not getting that second week at #1. Maybe the week after if it continues exploding on radio.

I will never forget when the previews dropped on that European online store the night of the album release.

Insiders saying the album was dance-pop, there was nothing exceptional or memorable about the album, there were no signs of leaks, the horrible Mariah remix, yes, and falling down the charts, ATRL insiders completely silent. But when that store uploaded the preview snippets and all I heard was R&B-pop perfection with emotional crying on the dance floor lyrics, I was speechless. My faith in Ms. Grande and the album was instantly restored.

Not to be a downer but I really don't like that it's performing closer to Positions than it is with tu,n :rip: i feel like there's a large number of users in the US who could get hooked to the album if they just gave it a chance. and no number of “performances" will make that happen, she needs Spotify & AM banners leading people to the album similarly to the treatment Midnights got

also pushing the title track as a single is more likely to push people to listen to the whole album than TBIM… i hope they do give it proper single treatment

Hot take:

I know it's still early but when it's all said and done and if Ariana truly has the best album this year, I hope the Grammys will honor that and not just go off the bigger names and the usual Grammy darlings. Yes we know Taylor Bey and Kacey even Billie will gave the edge but award the album that is truly better..but I've lost hope after the SOS loss.

Unfortunately they've never given the award to a pure pop star like Ariana. Madonna, Beyonce, Gaga and Janet never won either despite nominations. They seem to have (among many things) bias against pop stars who also dance and unafraid to be sexual as well and generally are very feminine and what the public would consider ~girly~ , performance artist pop stars.

Pop stars who actually won AOTY are Whitney, Celine, Adele all of whom were more adult contemporary and ballads, big vocals type artists (this is why I think IASF was the closest Beyonce actually came to it because of the first half of the album, if she had only released I Am... as a separate LP I think she would've beaten Fearless). And Taylor of course, but she was always presented as a singer-songwriter first so she is different as well.

in the next two weeks, ariana will still stay at top 5 in billboard 200

my prediction for billboard 200 charting april 6:

1. we don't trust you (metro boomin and future collab album)

2. Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Shakira)

3. eternal sunshine

4. one thing at a time

5. guts (olivia rodrigo with the release of guts spilled album edition)

Exactly. Which is why they need to just put out those versions on streaming and give it good radio for now. Album is locked for #1 for next week.

The song could definitely rise in the next few weeks but it might be a bit tough with Beyoncé, Olivia, and Metro Boomin's releases. + Beautiful Things is rising as well.

Anyone hosting an album survivor for this?

The should do some promo in UK, it's not that hard for her to get the #1 there looking at the predictions

Her new team eye-

It would have had a second week at #1 if the versions are released on streaming + sped up + slowed down + acapella + instrumental being released as well. A second consecutive week with both album and single being #1 is a great great feat but they sabotaged it. We would have had a 2 week at #1 then several weeks in top 5/10 and then it may stabilize there for many weeks when radio rises. But instead her team chose another 1-week #1. Im done. We cant be friends has shown its amazing potential to become one of her signature songs but now they butchered the chance.

Today she decreased in many countries/stable in some but remains at #2 in Spotify Daily Top Artist.
