Kesha “writing Animal sibling” album

Recommended Posts

All her demos preanimal were Synthpop-Electropop and they were really good. Dr luke didnt invent that sound
She worked with multiple people before the dr luke signin and she was a muse of dance music. All types of experimental dance tracks
So many of those demos are very ahead of that time.

If you check the charts of 2023. Electropop and Synthpop are some of the most popular genres of last year. Like 5-6 hits from last year were in that tone
Kesha can make amazing electronic songs and they can feel trendy and work today. Not everything dance is dated.
She could go hyperpop. Synthpop. Jersey club. Disco. House. UkGarage. So many routes she can take.
We got serious-deep kesha in the last years with Rainbow-some high road songs and Gag Order.  Its time for Fun.

Am I the only one who thinks Animal and Teenage Dream sound completely different? :deadbanana2: Animal is pure electro pop while TD is like contemporary bubblegum pop. I don’t think they have anything in common besides Dr. Luke credits.

Well, considering many of the Animal/Cannibal went viral on Tiktok, it's the most logical for her to return to that sound in some capacity if she wants to come out of the oblivion she's fallen into. That being said, I didn't like most of the upbeat stuff she had on High Road, it just wasn't catchy or modern enough

I can't wait and hope it comes sooner than later!

Let‘s hope it’s better than her most recent attempts to recreate Ke$ha  :ryan3:

Right like? Put any song from TD on Animal and you‘d hear the difference immediately (except maybe E.T. but who didn’t do dark electropop back then?)

Tbh VIP slaps harder today than it did back in 2010. Ahead of its time tbh.

Also RE the argument that Dr Luke created the sound on A+C, on top of what others have said, he literally was doing rock-pop before Kesha came onto the scene. Look at his work with Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Avril and even Katy on her first album. If anything she introduced the electro-pop sound to him.

This. She was exploring this sound on her own, and Luke started getting involved late 2008- early 2009.

So ******* excited for whatever she does next.

Honestly, her latest records were all amazing (especially Rainbow and Gag Order - I think they’re her best), but I’ve always been curious how much she was still being held back by label issues and constraints. I’m really excited to see what she does now that she’s free :jonnycat:

Also I hope she puts out music very frequently. She has to have enough ideas to fill several albums.

I can’t wait. :jonny:

I’ve always loved her + everything she’s done (except High Road…but even then, I still use a song or two from it, so), and I’m looking forward to what she’s got in store now that she’s finally getting to do whatever she wants on her own terms.

I’ve always wanted a Rainbow + Animal hybrid. :duca:

It’s really this simple tbh. Gaga’s music still stands it’s ground because of how distinct her sound was (she had a unique roster of producers that did NOT work with every other MPG like Dr Luke did) and that’s why it’s standing the test of time.

Sweaty The Fame (not Monster) is outdated af, it sounded dated and cheap back when it came out. No one uses it besides the singles :thing:

anyways as for Kesha, that last album she released was an atrocity. Let’s hope she got her ears cleaned out and releases something better :thing:

I’m a casual listener but Animal is one of the best albums of all time and it defined the early-2010s sound.  Genuinely worship that album and I’m proud of my physical copy. Looking forward to listen to new music in that style :heart2:

I'm sure she's not talking about an Animal sibling specifically but referring to all her albums as her children! Anyway, I'm so ******* excited about whatever she does next, she seems in such a good place and is being SO productive :duca:

True, but the easter eggs she's been sharing on her accounts and the confirmation from multiple insiders that she's working with Ava Max/Slayyyter collaborators seems to suggest she's committing to a full pop sound and referring to the new album as a sibling is pretty intentional.
