kimberly Posted January 5 Posted January 5 SOS has limited appeal globally. It's a MASSIVE record considering it's a Black woman making R&B music. it is by far the bigger album in the US. it's close but I'd give it to Future Nostalgia globally so far. if SZA dropped "Big Boy" and tacked it on to SOS it might be enough to sway the win.

Of course she did better worldwide than someone who barely even promoted her album in the US. No one cares abt this ****. Point is you tried it with SOS stats when FN’s are much better. 3

As complete eras, both SOS and FN are bigger than Midnights IMO. But part of that is by design, since Taylor has been moving on and releasing so much recently.

FN was much more massive in a WW perspective 1 hour ago, unclefloprry said: I know you take every opportunity to discredit Dua's success, but come on, I didn't want to do this. Official Charts FN - 15 #1s SOS 6 #1s Certifications outside the US FN - 2.2M SOS - 650K Streams FN - 11.6B SOS - 6.5B Views on YouTube (Still a big streaming platform in Asia and Latin America) FN - 3B (6 videos of 6 official singles from the standard version) SOS - 332M (6 videos of 6 official singles) And now, if I compare the singles, it's even worse for SZA, it's not a fair comparison at this point. What SZA did is incredible for an R&B singer, since that genre is not consumed ww like pop music. I discredit Dua's success...er what? A reminder SOS was released exactly 1 year ago while FN was released nearly FOUR years ago!!! So it'd be unfair to compare sales atm anyways
Solaria Posted January 5 Posted January 5 FN was bigger in Europe and Latin America. Not sure about Asia but I don’t think either of them perform really well in that market
SlowGinFizzzz Posted January 5 Posted January 5 In Europe at least, Future Nostalgia was and still is way bigger than SOS. You can ask random people above the age of 50 and they'll at least have heard the name Dua Lipa and will recognise a song or two; the same can't be said for SZA.
Jjang Posted January 5 Posted January 5 SOS is bigger as a full body of work. FN has the singles. 1 1
honestopinion Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Definitely not bigger worldwide. Only in US is bigger but in my country nobody knows who SZA is while Dula Peep playing on radio 24/7 here Edited January 5 by honestopinion
Feanor Posted January 5 Posted January 5 In the US, 'SOS' is already bigger. Globally, 'Future Nostalgia' is ahead, but that could (and imo will) change depending on whether 'SOS' gets re-released with 'LANA' and if so, how that performs. 1
Naikuun Posted January 5 Posted January 5 FN WW SOS US and stop setting SZA up just look at the views on youtube lol is no where comparable to FN
NEX Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Can we stop talking about the US like it's not part of this planet... SOS is bigger WW, and bigger in the US. If you wanna do WW excluding the US, then say so. 2
Marianah Adkins Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Love SZA but she’s only bigger in the US. WW its Dua’s FN.

Because album units and tour stats paint a very different picture. OT: Future Nostalgia is currently bigger (because it was released 2 and a half year prior) but SOS is definitely catching up fast and with LANA coming it will very likely seal the deal. 2

Pheromosa Posted January 5 Posted January 5 the fact that FN is a lot older and SOS is catching up already makes this hilarious
UnusualBoy Posted January 5 Posted January 5 SOS is easily bigger in US, FN takes the cake out of US.
loveisdead9582 Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I’ve heard maybe 2 songs off SOS. FN was everywhere. SZA’s numbers are still great though.

Vixen Eyes Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Idk I feel like FN was given more radioplay in my area of the US
