MidnightsAtPeace Posted January 2 Posted January 2 "2023 was the year Taylor got extremely popular and I couldn't tolerate her dominance and success." 6 1
Solaria Posted January 2 Posted January 2 She was easily avoidable though. My TikTok FYP for example was only full of Renaissance and Beyoncé videos this year. If you don´t wanna see her don´t seek her out, it´s as simple as that

Like not even MJ was refusing to let journalists interview him unless they kissed his ass. Would Taylor ever do a live Diane Sawyer interview like he did in 1995 where she was dragging him to his face?I Diane Sawyer has passed. Edited January 2 by Raphy23
Mike91 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) Part of the problem is that the media is irrelevant now and there is no monolithic culture anymore where everyone is paying attention. That's why the Taylor puff pieces in the media about how she's saving the US economy, the NFL posting about her (football fans especially do not give a **** about the personal lives of players), etc are over the top and ridiculous. They're trying to convince the public but only a small amount of people care and pay attention to it. Same thing also applies to people like Beyonce and even Adele. However, that's the media's fault and not Taylor's. She's just taking advantage of it. If anything, it'll hurt the media the most in the end. They're desperately looking for ways to stay relevant. It's very easy to avoid it until places like the NFL start featuring her. Again, that's more the NFL's fault. Edited January 2 by Mike91
byzantium Posted January 2 Posted January 2 When are OTHs going to learn that the only reason something appears in their media feed is because they themselves engage with it. Their tears are self inflicted. 8
Misguided Ghost Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Quote This is her picture-perfect image of herself: a pop star who clawed her way back from the dregs of cultural cancelation to revive a career that, in actuality, never came close to dying that's true though 1

The leaked email from her father makes it clear that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Started the day bright and early with some McDonalds, I see! 1
spiritboy Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Imagine being called insufferable just because you are enormously successful. 1 1
4Real Posted January 2 Posted January 2 The only insufferable thing to me is her overexposed relationship with that football player but I muted his name on twitter and now i live in peace 1

The space that scripted entertainment took up in the collective engagement people had with media in the 2010’s hasn’t recovered post-COVID. They’re trying to put music in that space but because artists are marketed as personalities rather than something anyone can pick up, there’s a bigger area for pushback/it won’t catch on despite press coverage and financial success.
WEEKND Posted January 2 Posted January 2 People want her to be some tragiQ heroine whose Artpop could mean anything lol she’s a pretty rich lady with a hot boyfriend who sits atop every charts in the world. Of course everything is blue and magical with ha. I don’t understand why she makes so many people upset.
Tusk Posted January 2 Posted January 2 It’s her fans. They cannot control themselves and have to talk about and beg for Taylor to release personal things to them. The regurgitating of one topic over and over and over as trivial as her carrying a celestial purse is overkill. 2

Her fanbase will be the cause of her next backlash era is my prediction. Some of them are both very intense and in massive numbers. The more that this happens, the more casuals will be turned off a bit. I’ve def been around some fans of hers that I would never dare utter a single less than glowing opinion around them or they’d blow tf up on me

Diane is alive, the one who passed is Barbara Walters who was the opposite of Diane, she was always so soft on people, unless your name was Courtney Love, in which case she would tell you you were a crackhead abusing your kids to your face

Her career while not flop, clearly heading to natural decline or can be even drastically decline like Katy in rep era, but thank god she has a strong fanbase and then she has herself to thanks for releasing folkmore which revive her career. This is delusional, Loser did 850k first week despite two horrific lead singles that were very frontloaded. Her hardcore fanbase was always huge enough that she was never going to flop. She would've had to come out as a Nazi and released "Gorgeous" as the lead for her to actually flop.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 She kinda became one of the rare Stars that beat overexposure fatigue.

Taylor herself is actually more mature than she was 2014-2017. But her fanbase in 2023 became legitimately the worst, most insufferable fanbase of any of them 1
