In fact if we follow the Madonna trajectory (Taylor is currently in her Music/GHV2 victory lap era) the next album should be another dragging session. In that case Taylor's American Life is coming. She's drinking a soy latte and she's feeling satisfied!
elevate Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Honestly not really. It's tacky articles like this about a hard-worker with millions of fans that are insufferable. She hasn't done anything to warrant constant scrutiny and negativity. I'm sure if they could have written these articles about The Beatles and MJ as expeditiously as they are now with Taylor, they would have. 13

hawx23 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 A hotter take would be that it’s not Taylor herself, but her annoying and obsessive fans, who deserve all the backlash. 5
Cruel Summer Posted January 2 Posted January 2 It must be so exhausting to constantly feel this way about a person you will never know. 4 1
Popular Post Fleahive Posted January 2 Popular Post Posted January 2 (edited) She herself isn’t insufferable as she once was in the past. But her unreachable success is. Every chart is Taylor dominated. It used to be fun to skim at charts and see the diversity in popular music. Now it’s all Taylor. Every album chart. Every singles chart. Every chart chart. Taylor Taylor Taylor. Not that I want her to flop but I’d like to see someone else smash and not in a “she’s smashing but nowhere near Taylor way”. Music itself should just be renamed Taylor because it seems like only her music is consumed in mass. And it all happened overnight. She was wildly popular before midnights, don’t know what it was but the eras tour has made her even more untouchable when it comes to sales success. People that I thought hated her are suddenly hardcore stans naming their favorite tracks from every album and re-recording. It’s just getting weird. Edited January 2 by Fleahive 1 14
chiliam Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Great art, and great artists, must be able to withstand scrutiny. Only then will an artist have something interesting to say. What is this logic? I laugh out loud at this part 4

I always get a cackle out of her telling Nicki "maybe one of the men took your spot" though. Nicki sits at her vanity... 2
Into The Void Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Quote This is her picture-perfect image of herself: a pop star who clawed her way back from the dregs of cultural cancelation to revive a career that, in actuality, never came close to dying. This is objectively true 2

Her career while not flop, clearly heading to natural decline or can be even drastically decline like Katy in rep era, but thank god she has a strong fanbase and then she has herself to thanks for releasing folkmore which revive her career. 1
