I don't think it's fake but acts like NewJeans benefit greatly from passive streaming (aka music being played at public places, cafes or while studying / working / commuting). And the fact it's short as hell as well. Like Ariana said "stream it twice", more replays = more streams

In my opinion, it helps that the Get Up EP was very cohesive in sound. You can press shuffle and any song on the album coming after the other will be fine to hear afterwards. Compare this to most other K-pop releases where you have a Latin song next to a Disney song next to a girlcrush song or the title is completely different from the other songs makes for less plays in my opinion for b-sides.
