All the members were very fluent in japanese and since they were consistently invited to popular Variety Shows in Japan, the local population started to be more and more aware of them. Japanese people often value hardwork and I bet they thought It's what pretty impressive the fact the girls put an effort to be very well fluent on their language, so KARA was almost a local girlgroup for them, as they personally could shine on these programs alongside other japanese celebrities. It helps their music was generally loved (as It should).
