As the wise words of Stephanie from The Grace, When the groups does good it's thanks to the company (SM) but when they don't it's because of the groups and members... It's how SM are working, literally. And worst part is several people that includes Shinwha, TVXQ, Super Junior, f(x) backed those claims saying that the company would scold them if they did less good than the previous era, but the groups would have to celebrate producers and staff because of their success. sm didnt want to kick her out hence they stalled with the health excuse. jessica had a chance to victimize herself making the other 8 look bad and just jump to the gun if it was really SM's doing jessica wouldnt be blaming the 8 members this narrative is so weird thinking legends snsd have no say in the group when their parents have had a lot invested/in stake. they can also threaten to leave the company as well as their contract came to an end. its very juvenile because it follows stan twitter mentality of company = north korea, members = absolutely no input. lets not pretend blackpink wouldnt be called baemon if they didnt fight for blackpink and because she jumped the gun to victimize herself and hurt the brand that obviously pissed SM off hence the blacklisting Edited June 8 by Asscatchem

Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Bruh, we still talking about Jessica and SNSD I mean Jessica is my ultimate bias, but even I moved on. Enough. 2
MusicFan98 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 The SNSD vs Jessica talk is so stale, however I can't believe no one in the kpop industry has taken advantage like we deserve a Netflix documentary or something, spill the tea. I think SM decided to kick Jessica Out in the last minute, because I don't think the members have enough power to force them into doing something they don't want to do, specially in this kind of situation, if the members really wanted her out and not SM, the blacklisting + them wanting to erase Jessica from SNSD's history wouldn't be a thing 1

I don't know why people make up conspiracy theories about the girls kicking her out. This is 100% a business thing.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 SM has a history of trying to erase members from thier legacy groups. Look at EXO Look at what they did to DBSK F(X) disrespect Like they don't do anything for anniversary's, they blur out members faces when they do homage videos. I get sometimes this is for legal reasons, but the literally blacklisting of Jaejoong for 16 Years is wild. This is Music executives thinking about investment and image over the actual idols that fund thier buildings and make them multi-millionaires. SM is trash, I don't know how y'all can't see it's the Man's fault and not the employees

There was no reason for them to randomly kick her out. It doesn't add up. It's more of a "conspiracy theory" than the members/parents influencing SM to remove her (for which there are actually some kind of evidence/sources aside from Sica's own words, including SNSD's own fanclubs in China + the original Dispatch article). It may look glitz and glam, but thats the truth. If SM said jump back then, they jumped. Jessica was one of the top 3 most popular members in every region that SNSD had fans in. There was NO WAY that SNSD had the final say to kick her out and thats my belief. 1

That is what happen Yeah and SM was influenced to remove her because the members/their parents created a crisis and protested about the fashion business. If they hadn't done that she'd still be in the group, because SM was getting a cut of B&E anyway and they had given permission for Jessica to start it. Could the members personally fire Jessica themselves? No. Could they create a situation that left SM with little choice but to remove Jessica from the group, YES. Which is clearly closest to what happened. Chinese SNSD fansites even had the tea before 9/30. Edited June 8 by Zack
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 There is no way a contract idol member can kick another contract idol member out of a group. Especially not a Label as massive as SM was in thier peak If FiftyFifty and Loona take years to get out of thier own contract, how they gonna get someone else out of theirs. Yall see how little that makes sense. Thier has to be legal precedent to just remove a person from thier job.

Not with those iron clad contracts 1
Zack Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Just now, Rhyme said: What could SNSD have actually done though to push SM to that point? Go on strike? Not with those iron clad contracts The members/the parents could have threatened to go public or launched lawsuits about the business, which given the year SM had already had in 2014 (dating scandals, f(x) drama, EXO lawsuits etc) they would have 100% wanted to avoid. If it was a case between keeping 8 out 9 members (to keep the majority of the group happy) or destabilizing the whole group to protect 1 member (and a very profitable group at that)...any business would choose the first option.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I kinda wish we got Jessica on Lion Heart she would have Slayed in the Aesthetics

I just really doubt all 8 disliked Jessica enough for them to launch a lawsuit against SM because 8 members minus one going against them would've thrown the whole group into jeopardy. 5 of them stuck with SM even after they nearly sabotaged their comeback when the contracts ran up. I don't think Jessica would've been enough for them to risk losing a place in SM.

I don't think SNSD had that power it was 2014, groups barely had any saying and it's not like SNSD had that kinda power hence their 10th anniversary fiasco, it has to be a decision made from an executive, even if all of them hated Jessica which is hard to believe, I could say 3/4 members hating here is not a reach but a whole group of 8 people?? You gotta be the problem if that's the case, but even then, SM wouldn't care about the girls', so i don't see it.
