armageddon aged like milk. nothing new or original either, easily forgotten despite the heavy budget

You are free to have your opinion on Armageddon, but calling it "nothing new or original" is... interesting

visually, it's very pink venom teaser coded. sonically, they amplified the indian qualities and percussions of pink venoms instrumental and even included the classic blackpink shouting outro

it would be iconic if aespa referenced Run Devil Run visuals but upgraded and kept the running brand of their girl group histories alive through their active flagship (like at least how blackpink does with 2ne1 influences, IATB outro etc). sm can have that kwangya multiverse like soo man has always dreamed of. instead we get discount blackpink

Armageddon dont sound like BP nor does it have Indian instruments :coffee2:

it's definitely different from what's in kpop right now. Supernova just overshadowed it by a lot

You were so close to spilling but then you forgot that she put out a whole ass book about Girls' Generation with some names changed. At least we can agree the OT9 crowd taking Hyoyeon being unable to say the words Jessica Jung without failing to hold back laughter as a sign that they're secretly best friends is strange behavior.:ducky:

The book is a story derived from HER experience of the K-Pop industry, which happens to include having debuted in a 9 member girl group. Because, you know, she was in a girl group!

If she didn't change any of the names and stories and mentioned the members directly by their own names, you might have a point, but she did not.

Let's also not forget the lie sones purposely spread about her "outing Seohyun" in the book which was completely fabricated and ridiculous, but they were prepared to attach a member's name to the book just to drag Jessica and people believed it.

A major trend in Kpop this year was Afro-pop. And I'm kinda glad Aespa didn't hop on that, and did the opposite by giving us more hyperpop and electro dance. :clap3:

and honestly I hope SM new girl group will be a blend of SNSD mid tempo R&B pop with Electro dance Pop. Like a fusion of early 2010's pop done right ala Gaga & Katy Perry.

I think it be refreshing to have SNSD Mid -2000's aesthetic with like 2010's Dance Pop. So we don't just get Aespa 2.0 or NCT female version. I have faith

Worstie do you really wanna start comparing which side spreads more lies? Those court cases and completely unsubstantiated claims of being drugged by taeyeon under a pseudonym aren't a cute look. I have time today so let me know. :bird:

It was people obsessed with Jessica like yourself that prompted Hyoyeon to say her name and Hyo's own personal first hand experiences with the woman that caused uncontrollable cackling. Your visible anger is as always when it comes to SNSD and their fans, misplaced.

I'm not really getting all that from this.

A user left a comment of Jessica's name in Korean and for whatever reason she read it out. The "omg OT9 yay!!" reaction from many sones very bizarre.

When that guy mentioned "Tiffany and Sooyoung" to Jessica at a Givenchy event last year, they dragged her and she didn't even say their names. She just said "okay" and judging by her reaction, she was very uncomfortable about it. She has also been dragged for whatever sones perceive as "using SNSDs name/fame" when she hasn't even. She's scared to even say anything SNSD related at all and the fanbase is partly to blame.

If they want to say her name, they need to stop pretending the group debuted as 8, or stop cutting her out of celebrating achievements of their past work as 9.

Can we talk about how she reads out her name right after mentioning an upcoming SNSD anniversary from another comment? If anything, mentioning Jessica's name looks extremely mean-spirited with her evil smile and the cackle in the background right after referring to a future anniversary, as if trying to rub salt in the wound since we know they won't celebrate it together anyways.

It sounds impossible or delusional, but its my biggest wish in Kpop. I really do feel like someday by the time they're all old women that something will make them forgive each other for everything.

not choosing a side since we'll never really know what happend but jessica being blacklisted, ignored and erased for almost a decade is kinda much

i don't know if i would work with that group/company anymore

but we can dream :flower:

i feel like SNSD could sell out arenas in the US if they had an "Eras" tour. no one but korea cares that theyre pushing 40. take us from ITNW -> Gee -> Genie -> Oh -> RDR -> Hoot -> The Boys -> Mr Taxi -> IGAB -> Mr Mr -> Lion Heart -> All Night -> Forever 1 queens, with a Taetiseo + Taeyeon solo sets. most their fans are adults and have real money now. look at IU selling out arenas in the US. i couldnt even buy tix for her date because it queued up to 60,000 people :rip:

loved it at first but kind of tired hearing this song. suga is a really generic producer, but i recognize that this gave her that BTS audience and pushed her stardom internationally even further

Actually, this is a song that I loved from the first moment I heard it, and especially after knowing its meaning, I loved it even more and still listen to it. ♥
