If they're looking for 13 year olds, that group is not debuting anytime soon :rip:

All the members are 20, except for the maknae she is 17.

as for this new unit they are auditioning, they probably won't debut for another year

Idk about the others or about that...I know CL and Minzy really TRIED to make it happen.

In CL's case, YG was standing in her way at every turn. It's a pity.

Yes I agree, but I guess nothing is stopping them now...

Lee Hi, CL, Dara, Minzy, Jennie, Rosé (let's not even talk about Lisa)... Will do ANYTHING & EVERYTHING than releasing music.

So maybe YGly was never the problem....... women are just LAZY.

idk about the others but YG was the problem for Jennie, Lisa & Rosé

the girls found out they can get mega rich by doing the bare minimum (yg style) and promoting brands and doing fashion deals gives them more money with doing literally nothing. its YG's fault

Jennie is releasing the album very soon. she's been in LA working

Lisa atleast confirmed her album too and has a US label announced

Rosé idk whats happening to her tbh. I thought she was the one who loves music the most but so far she's the one serving celebrity and fashionista influencer more than the other 3 :rip:

I hope the pinks go broke and go back to releasing music cause my frustration is through the roof :rip:

That's true...but I guess for some of them the damage is done and it's probably a lot harder for them to successfully release music now, than it would have been in the past.

To be fair to ahyeon, I'd hate being in a horrible group as well. The music has been terrible and she was probably thinking she'd be in a BP type group

wow all the comments in that video are about ahyeon .. :dancehall:

she used to be way more happier during their pre-debut content, I wonder what really happened behind the scenes ..

Not everyone can act fake 24/7 like Wonyoung :dies: but yeah it is a bit extreme to already act like this as a young rookie when you should be so bright and fresh with energy and excited to even debut.

Rosé is the biggest disappointment tbh she had the most hyped solo debut but it sucked (gone is really good though)

No one expected something groundbreaking from Jisoo and Lisa so they get a pass but the fact Somi keeps stealing from rosé And she gets the better songs :rip:

Meanwhile Jennie "the lazy one" is dropping songs left and right :michael:

i'm sure the girls are working hard behind the scenes, doubt starting your own label/management is easy

i'm more curious about the fact that we literally know nothing about rosé‬'s label, like where did she sign to

Noooooo not SM trying to pull a TripleS :gaycat7:

SM has been trying to make rotational groups for decades. Girls' Generation and that boy band with the second most 2nd Gen criminals (Super Junior) were both supposed to be rotation groups. Red Velvet, too.

RV getting no creative support from Sm isn't suprising. SM is Trash:rip:

SNSD 15th anniversary was made possible because of Tiffany & YoonA. They even said on broadcast that scheduling variety shows and thier Soshi tam tam wouldn't  have happen for Forever1. SM just wanted them to have a single:deadbanana: if it weren't for the girls themselves stepping up and making the album we would have had another Holiday mess with 3 days on music shows…. And we technically still only got a week promo but the song was a hit so SM had no choice but to give us the everlasting love concert and extra media presence.

SM treats thier top girl groups like trash.

It makes NO sense. They have some of the most profitable females in the industry. SNSD sold 250k+ physicals with just two versions. Imagine if they even just got individual member versions - they'd clear 500k+ at the very least.

Do you think that it's so that it doesn't happen what kinda happened to Blackpink and the girls don't outgrow the group brand so they feel like they need to stay in the group or in SM??? Cuz to me it feels like it, sometimes the company is holding back potential on purpose.

SM has done that before - they also purposefully limit the growth of their artists in China because they're scared acts will leave Korea and go to China.

I barely see any difference like if we really make comparison to SNSD and RV and say their first few years to aespa.

They definitely had the best headstart.  were not even including f(x) yet in terms of worst mistreatment   :bam:

RV had a strong head start, but it's clear SM abandoned them early when they weren't the top girl group. They also only got jewel cases for a lot of their CDs despite having some of the most amazing artwork. PAB's photoshoot deserved a photobook!

joy making a ppt to prove a point is wild

but as long as it's not another birthday we will take it

I can't wait to see what they brought to the table. Honestly, I'm still upset with how great the Chill Kill photoshoot was just for the music video to be lackluster.

Somebody tell the US that we found an unlimited oil reserve underneath SM ent headquarters. :angelo:

I will still stream music and attend events for my favorite idols but I will not be purchasing albums, digitals, or merchandise from SM going forward and suggest all of you do the same. Forever 1 was proof enough that intentionally sabotaging idol groups that are in contract negotiation does no good to the company bottom line OR permanent harm to the careers of already successful entertainers, SNSD's 6th album was openly sabotaged by the company only for the group to take a five year hiatus and get record sales. aespa's debut tour having stadium dates despite most of their career at that point being during the covid era was proof enough that you absolutely do not need to overwork idols to the point of hospitalization to build a wildly profitable brand. There is no logical reason for the ways that Red Velvet and aespa are being treated and the only conclusion you can draw is that these horrible business practices that harm idols and fans alike at no financial benefit are the product of a predatory work culture that equates domineering and abusing employees with efficient management. Red Velvet becoming a million seller then immediately getting dropped and half of aespa being hospitalized for avoidable health causes is absolutely inexcusable. I'm done rewarding bad behavior.

Girl, you need your ass beat for this. SM is mistreating female artists because they don't think they'll be that profitable. So your idea is to stop supporting those female artists in the way they need it most? Meanwhile boy group stans will continue buying any and every piece of merchandise so you'll just prove SM's point that they were right to focus on a dozen like Lucas instead of an actually talented artist like Joy.

If you want to stick it to SM, support their girl groups and ignore everything with their boy groups. Do not even stream the males. And use your digital presence to voice concern. Once public opinion shifts enough, SM will have to make internal changes to ensure revenue doesn't stop or else they'll fail.
