The word "akgae" predates fancams by quite a bit.

 

What kinda ruined fancams is when they're called that, but they're not done by fans.  PDcams and Sel-cams being labeled as "fan" has always irked me.  At least the ones done by the semi-pro jjikduk's are being done by fans of the process.  And don't get me started on cropcams!
