I mean good for him and his fans but these records are basically all fan drivens and unlike JK, his song will not be remembered. 1

It's charting top50 globally and top200 US except for JK (and Lisa to a far lesser extend with money), every ksoloist's big records were fan driven globally. So yes, it's not the same as JK, but no one is doing it like him? You could probably extend this fact to 99% of kpop songs as well.
geniecantstophypeboy Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) 12 minutes ago, Asscatchem said: huh they had another debut album? Quote "Batter Up" is a song by South Korean girl group BabyMonster. It was released on November 27, 2023, by YG Entertainment, as the group's debut single. On November 10, after the supposed debut month, YG Entertainment confirmed a debut date of November 27.[4] Ten days later, the digital single "Batter Up" was announced as BabyMonster's debut release.[5] On November 24, the teaser for the music video was released.[6] Quote Yoo Ji-hee from Daily Sports expressed that the group failed to establish a clear identity apart from their labelmate seniors 2NE1 and Blackpink, and wrote how the song evokes "a familiar taste, but it's not enough to really grab you."[10] Rhian Daily from NME rated the song two out of five stars, calling it "a tired formula" with "lazy songwriting" and commented "Even in the moments that are clearly designed to be the track's earworm moments, it feels weak and leaves no lasting impression."[9] Batter up is their debut single and is also a flop BabyMons7er is their 1st album after multiple releases and months or years building hype and promoting on social media with a million Youtube ads and videos. geniecantstophypeboy Posted April 5 Posted April 5 3 minutes ago, Mattheo said: It's considered their debut album even if it's a comeback In terms of building a fanbase and counting sales, it's not their 1st release and that explains why their sales are high, as I anticipated it. Comparing the sales of an album that dropped on the very 1st day of a group debut, to the sales of an album that dropped at some point in the group career after they debuted, while not technically incorrect, is misleading at best.
geniecantstophypeboy Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Blinks gaslighting everyone that Batter Up doesn't exist is the kii Truly the most deranged fandom, always with the lies and the fake news.

Batter Up exists but it's not their official debut and theyre not even the first kpop group to have a predebut single look at VCHA with like 4 singles before their official debut Girls of the Year
