From my understanding, D.O. and Lay are the only ones 100% gone from SM, so any activities they do with EXO are by choice at this point. Baekhyun, Chen, and Xiumin's situation are different. They're still contractually bound to SM as far as EXO goes but have a separate company (Baekhyun's the CEO) for solo activities. They're also still in a legal dispute with SM. Basically, Suho and Chanyeol are the only ones that would've been included in the seasons greeting since Kai and Sehun enlisted. There was no reason to do one with just two members
