This is the most she's ever shined in any aespa era in my opinion, with plenty of center moments, screen time, and that iconic pink hair. And I'm saying this as a Giselle solo stan, who used to stan aespa but ended up becoming a Giselle solo stan after SM's constant sidelining of her and how the MY fandom treats her. But queen is SHINING this era It’s easy to overlook Giselle in the past the way she has been constantly underutilized but she maximized EVERY bit of her time this era. From the aesthetic, to the slaying of her lines, she really pulled the attention with this comeback. As someone who recently became a Stan (thanks to 2Hot4U and Dopamine), I’d love to see her do more, but with slayage like this they won’t be able to keep sidelining her. And real talk, she’ll be the first to benefit whenever a member leaves. 1

ATRL Administrator Ryan Posted October 21 Author ATRL Administrator Posted October 21 I really, really want to hate Pink Hoodie. While it is the worst song on the mini, it’s also one of those “it’s so bad it’s kinda good”? Like who would have thought aespa’s NCT cosplay would deliver better results than the original? Their range truly cannot be topped. 2
Supervillain Posted October 21 Posted October 21 The way Just Another Girl is literally Sunflower by RV SM needs to get their **** together 1

Pluto6 Posted October 21 Posted October 21 (edited) My Whiplash review: Whiplash feels more like a pre-release than an actual title track. The song itself is fine, but it's quite monotone. On first listen, the entire album comes across as their weakest project so far, with none of the b-sides standing out to me. In comparison, Synk: PARALLEL, the album with all the solo songs released earlier this month, is way better. The Whiplash MV also seems to be their cheapest MV yet? Like where's the budget, SM? And also the minimalistic and commercial vibe of the MV, along with the random writing, reminded me of LE SSERAFIM's style as well. It's also understandable why Whiplash is being compared to Crazy by LE SSERAFIM, as both songs share the same genre. Crazy >>>>>>> Whiplash -------- Now this is an album Edited October 21 by Pluto6 1

ATRL Administrator Ryan Posted October 21 Author ATRL Administrator Posted October 21 Whiplash being the title track on a mini that urban, pop-rock, r&b, and more is why they get criticized for not having cohesive projects.

illia Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Dem Jointz producing for nugus now I screamed when I heard the "INCOMIIIING" producer tag Trigger warning: it's really, really bad 4
DelRey Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Do you seriously not like Aespa mini? I think it's their best since My World. Pink Hoodie is truly Baggy Jeans sister, I'm kinda vibing to it. 1
Rainy Devil Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Whiplash is good, but I don't think it will top Supernova and Armageddon for me, at least now. The MV, while is fine and the girls look better than ever, is just lacking. Especially when the last two MVs were so amazing. The mini is quite nice as well. I'm comparing it to the first half of Armageddon and I think I like it more. I do understand why NingNing told fans to enjoy the music and performances rather than the results/records because Whiplash doesn't scream sure fire hit. That being said, I can't wait for the performances.
