Jessica Jung is a Korean-American singer, actress, fashion designer, and businesswoman. She is best known for being a former member of the South Korean girl group Girls' Generation (SNSD), which debuted under SM Entertainment in 2007. Girls' Generation became one of the most successful and influential K-pop groups worldwide. Jessica was known for her powerful vocals and distinct persona within the group.

In 2014, she left Girls' Generation to focus on her solo career and other business ventures. After leaving the group, she launched her own fashion brand called Blanc & Eclare, which offers luxury fashion items, including clothing, sunglasses, and skincare products. She also pursued a solo music career and has released several solo albums, including With Love, J in 2016.

In addition to her music and fashion career, Jessica has ventured into acting and writing. In 2020, she published her debut novel, Shine, which is a young adult book about a Korean-American girl training to become a K-pop star. This book drew inspiration from her own experiences in the industry.

Jessica is also active on social media and remains a significant figure in both the K-pop and fashion worlds

ATP still N/A on US AM charts

Funny how Korean acts never manage to chart on AM charts :dies: even Jungkook IIRC

This album rollout for THE BOYZ is going to be a MESS.

Allegedly all the members are leaving IST and all signed or have reached negotiation with ONE HUNDRED Entertainment to pursue their career as a group and individually. ONE HUNDRED Entertainment is the parent company of Baekhyun INB100 (Baekhyun) and B.P.M (VIVIZ, Taemin, Lee MuJin, Ren, Be'O)

Soyou left BPM (never forget when Soyou made VIVIZ her Bora and Dasom, the way she took all of Hyolyn and most of her lines)

Matter of fact when Soyou released Aloha she said all of SISTAR's contracts were nearing the end and would be aligned to reunite, the way each member hinted it and gave us droplets (2022, Hyolyn & Dasom Unit, 2023 Soyou ft. Bora, 2024 SISTAR 19 comeback, 2025 SISTAR comeback?)

But I'm going on a tangent I was talking about The Boyz, basically the guys are not happy with he direction the company was handling the group and their individual careers. For example this song by Jacob was first introduced on VLIVE 3 years ago and was only released 4 months ago

Or anyone know that Eric actually has a single album (which is branded as a mixtape since he funded and released it by himself).

This album, all the members all of them hinted that songs are not new.

If anything, I think it'll make the race even more exciting. Hell, nobody would've predicted aespa demolishing IVE, NJ, Lim Y.W., and Idle earlier this year either. :gaycat4:

I'm expecting it to be something like:

1. ATP

2. ILLIT

3. Mantra

4. G-Dragon

5. Up

6. Whiplash

they compared Whiplash to Supernova with the latter being of a more "popular" genre, but it was a risky song in itself IMO. the genre is "popular" because of itself :rip:

Yeah, I'm expecting Whiplash to be an era for the fans, which is fine. I think it'll be a quick top 10. I'm just hoping it has a real chorus.

Yup, even Seven which went #1 on BB and broke Spotify records still struggled to get played on US radio and I wouldn't call it a hit in the US either s:wan:

Seven was nothing without Mass-streaming and autoplay. I never heard it once. I wouldn't be shocked if both Jennie and Rose pull more organic hits.

What an October it's been and there's still more! I've been really winning this month from 2NE1's reunion tour to BP's releases and GD & BABYMONSTER coming up

October 4th - Lisa

October 11th - Jennie

October 18th - Rosé

October 25th - G-DRAGON

November 1st - BABYMONSTER

November ??? - TREASURE's album

December 6th - Rosé's debut album

Back to back to back!! I'm eating so good!

:WAP:

I hate when labels do this. Stop putting all of your artists against each other just to try and raise stock prices at the last minute. SM loves to do it, too.

Apple Music is like our Circle - you can't autoplay your way into a smash or just have a small group of fans who mass stream.

Yup, Spotify stats are so obviously fraudulent sometimes. Like that Jimin song is still in US Top 10 :skull:

Girl, G-Dragon is going to block everyone be serious. He could literally fart and burp in a recording booth, and it would still go straight to #1 in Korea. He's literally the most popular idol ever in Korea.

I'm his biggest fan here and have a literal tattoo to prove it, this actually isn't guaranteed. His solo music is much more trend-driven dance music compared to his group output. Between the zero teasing and long hiatus from a genre dominated by trends, this could actually be one of the biggest album to album declines of all time, and I'm not just talking about kpop.

He's Kwon Jiyong and has real life plot armor though so your post is the more likely scenario.

SNSD lowkey messed up their own legacy by kicking out Jessica and the fans didn't help by then pretending that Jessica was never in the group at the height of its success. I mean think of what it would be like now for SNSD if that never happened and OT9 remained perfect and even strengthened their musical and professional/friendship bond throughout the years. I think you all know this is true.

I think you all know this is true.

Jessica sealed her fate the second she started finger pointing at the girls, and lost what little remaining goodwill she had once she started publishing thinly veiled lies about SNSD. I actually supported her before the books came out. I immediately preordered the first book, patiently avoided leaks, and read the entire thing in a single sitting. Nobody who has actually read those books the way they were intended to be read(as something that is heavily inspired by her lived experiences) without some kind of bizarre anti-snsd or pro-jessica bias can take away any conclusions other than that she is deeply insecure and hates/is jealous of Girls' Generation enough to spin completely ridiculous stories about Taeyeon drugging her or how everybody acknowledged that she was the prettiest and most talented(:mummy:).

At the end of the day its 8 vs 1. It's finger pointing and libel vs keeping it classy and focusing on your own career prospects. Unless there's serious crimes involved like the EXO or Big Bang members, former idol group members are typically coddled and supported by most of their former fanbase, something had to go really wrong for that to not be the case for sica, she didn't commit any crimes until years after sone turned on her.

My post earlier on this page was a joke, Jessica was a contributing factor to the group's 07-14 run and her vocals were good, she would have been a great addition to the lineup after 9/30 as well if she remained with them. SNSD continued to evolve and grow as artists without her though and have existed longer as an 8 member group at this point. Taeyeon had a massive hit just this year, Sooyoung is days away from debuting under Avex, SNSD is the only 2nd gen idol group still going toe to toe with their juniors in popularity. Their legacy is doing just fine.

The sones who quickly and actively turned on her and spread the lies and fake articles about her and attacked her across SNS even now.

Even when Bright was released, sones fabricated that ridiculous lie about her "outing Seohyun" in the book and spread it on social media. Her former fandom became one of her worst enemies but I don't think that's her fault.

Considering even you've been driven to hate her enough to attack everything about her, even the other day downvoting posts about her attending a charity cancer event, I always wonder why sones get *so* bothered about a member who they believe SNSD no longer needs:michael:
