as if Karina going #1 is also not because of the song going viral on Tiktok for months :ahh:

RV being played everywhere in Korea but ppl not having interest in them, make it make sense :ahh:

In fact, RV's the only group where no one can make the lack of interest argument, considering they smashed with Psycho after 3 underperforming cbs and ZERO promo and then smashed with Feel My Rhythm with one week promo because everyone is checking out for them, see: their constant high chart debuts, incl. Cosmic 10 yrs in

RV's whole music catalogue is being blasted on kr streets in a market where the trendy ggs like aespa, gidle, le sserafim, and newjeans are dominating so the fake concern's hilarious

Spoiler

knowing anyone from RV's team when half of them are on kr grindr with their ig's attached also ain't as special as yall think:ahh:

I trust the RV members themselves to know more about the promotions that they got rather than ATRL user Windy Day

they could get all the promo in the world, they would still bomb because they're not famous anymore and irene is double the age of the current kpop idols

No offense but it sounds like you have your opinions (which is fine) but then trying to pass those opinions off as fact, when there's plenty of evidence against, including **from the members themselves**

Also, everyone knows K-Pop is a cash grab, so if promotions didn't matter, why would literally every major company even bother to spend money on teasers, promotions, SNS trends etc. to promote a comeback if "Koreans dgaffff about all that!!" as you put it. Make it make sense :psyduck:

-> because this is TARGETED TO THE DOMESTIC AND INTL KPOP NICHE how hard is it to comprehend??? i said that all of that impacted the purchase intention of the KPOP FANS

the random GP member doesn't give a **** whether red velvet doesn't have a japanese fanbase or if they had 2 or 4 weeks of preorder for an album that they're not going to buy

so, pick a side, are you talking about the kpop niche side, or the GP side? because i already agreed with you for the kpop niche side

if you're talking about the GP, then yes. most of what you mentioned doesn't matter because they're not the one buying the album. they will stream the song on melon or youtube music and that's all. all the promo that you're talking about is mainly focused on the potential (bulk) buyers

We've literally been through all this, unless you're literally not reading what people are replying to you.

Also, I would love to know the secret to your abilities of omniscience in knowing the thoughts and desires of every single member of the public. Please share!

OT: In any event, judging by your ageist comments against IRENE just now, the true intentions behind your issue with anyone saying "RV is mismanaged" have become clear.

please answer quickly:

do you keep up with the release schedule of every single mainstream artists in your country?

why more and more artists are releasing with only a few days prior notice?

why the top 10 on melon right now had minimal promo and why songs who got huge promo like "crazy" aren't charting?

why do you think red velvet not having a japanese fanbase impacts their performance in korea?

it's a FACT that members of the general public around the world are passive consumers unlike fans who are active consumers. why do you think korea is any different? old songs go viral and go straight up the charts all the time here too with 0 promo, while comebacks with tons of promo fail to crack the top 50, as seen with lesserafim and 3rd gen trinity group twice

if twice who was always more popular than red velvet can't chart anymore, what makes you think red velvet can? i'm not dismissing the members feelings, but they're just not popular anymore. the sooner you accept it instead of finding excuses, the better it will be.

Delayed comeback article/announcement

Just 13 days of pre-order/teasers (other SM groups get 3-4 weeks or over 1 month)

Only 5 days of promotion (comeback released June 24th...promotion already OVER before end of the following week)

Rushed AI pictures/album photoshoot with rendering errors

Teasers randomly deleted and some uploaded at 8pm instead of midnight (because they were cramming 4 weeks worth of teasers into 2 weeks)

MV delayed and released 1 hour late (with a delayed apology causing confusion)

Barely any Spotify playlisting

No Studio Choom or special dance performance schedules

No comeback press conference

Low resolution/botched album cover

No Japanese official fanclub

like, from all of these, the only points that would impact the performance among the GP would be 3, 6 and 9 to some extent

what the **** does spotify or japanese fanclub has to do with the song perfoming well in korea?

i'll give you one thing, SM doesn't send the girls to the right promo slots, which results in low interest which ultimately also results in their songs bombing (despite cosmic being k-soty with supernova)
