Even if you take away the four main kcharts, it also topped apple music korea, spotify korea and even youtube music (which is the biggest streaming platform in that country). There is not a single chart it didn't go top 2 or 3 on. In reality, the song was inescapable, meanwhile, the only place calling them frauds is korean forums like theqoo which are notoriously run by SM stans or random people like Emily from Idaho claiming they're making zero noise. As we've seen multiple times, you don't need a huge fandom or being famous like Eunwoo to chart. The only thing needed is a viral song that the GP latches onto. As for the members, they were going on different platforms like youtube shorts and reels where those were getting 100-400k likes. One of the members (Shinyu) was also #3 on brand reputation and even has the most viewed fancams of 5th gen bg members this year. Pledis for some reason refused to promote them anywhere outside of music shows. Spoiler Regarding their latest songs, SN has been slowly going up on the charts as promotions have been happening and this time around, pledis is pushing them on many different shows. The song is not as viral as plot twist which is normal cause not everyone can re-create something like that but it def has the chance to go top 20, 15 or even 10...who knows. As for their pre-release, yeah it tanked but it also charted higher than many other boy groups could wish for. It's not unusual for a pre-release to do horribly as this has happened to many huge groups and soloists before (even in the big 4). 2
katyberry Posted July 5 Posted July 5 It's okay for multiple boy groups to be successful at once & one charting high isn't gonna take success away from the other ones 3

The song currently has 155k videos under its sound on reels (riize highest is 60k), 133k on youtube shorts (riize highest is 17k ), and tiktok with 55k (riize highest 35k). As you can see, it obliterated riize on video platforms and you have to keep in mind that reels + shorts are much bigger in korea than tiktok, "coincidentally" where the 2 groups have the larger gap. 24 minutes ago, Mattheo said: i mean yes ofc it will be a mega hit if it has been sajaegi'ed like most sajaegi songs on kcharts in 2018 their recent songs bombing immediately on release date means that public did not check or care for them personally, even if they picked up their debut song later on mind you this is their last song and their pre release was a complete nonevent, for a group having one of the biggest hits this year it truly is embarrassing So you admit it's a mega-hit but are claiming it charting high is fraud? Like I said earlier, it was high not just on the 4 main kcharts but youtube music, spotify and apple music. It's one thing to sajaegi on one platform but when it's either #1, #2 or #3 on every single one, you just have to give up and admit it's a real hit. Not only on the charts or social media, but in real life too in their own country. Also a song "bombing" upon release but slowly going up as social media interest and promotions go up is much more organic than debuting high and then going down like others. 24 minutes ago, Mattheo said: mind you you were dragging and shading riize in the last few days So it's okay for briize to drag/shade them for the past 5 months calling them frauds, cheap, walmart, etc but god forbid I share a youtube video of riize's encore Edited July 5 by katyberry 1
Xalric Posted July 5 Posted July 5 StayC revealed that they recorded this song back in 2022, but it had never found an album to be in, until now.

The evidence/stats are right there to speak for themselves but you choose to ignore and instead continue with whatever narrative you have going on. By your logic, riize are also frauds since they had a hit with GAG but their next release didn't even enter the top 100. Also, they had a top 5 hit with Love 199 but their next release didn't even enter the top 20 of melon and instead fell down the charts. Hit → flop → "hit"...is this SM's strategy? At the end of the day, even if the 0.01% of it being fraud was true, there is no reason to be this worked up about it and go after fans just being excited about their favs. Even if they become one hit wonders (as in only one song entered the top 10) than that is okay. 3
