But for Taehyung, since he releases mostly Jazz, R&B and ballads, this monthly listener rate is actually very good for him. While Jimin and JK are more popular in Europe and the US, Taehyung dominates Asia. Even JK can't compete with him when it comes to Asia. I think this explains why he has a good success even though he releases songs in very different genres than others. Also, Tae is already aware of where his main fandom is. Unlike the others, he never promoted in the US and focused on Korea and Japan. If he could, I'm sure he'd hold fan events even in China too. Most of the BTS members are achieving fandom-driven success, except for JK, who is promoting with a European and US focus with his all-English album. Just like 99% kpop. The fandom may love them all as individuals, but when it comes to musical taste, everyone follows the solo that appeals to them. I don't think there is anything strange about this. This is actually what should happen. No one should feel obliged to listen to songs they don't like just because the person is part of a band they like.
